If there are no markings on it, we can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured and approved prescription medication, because they are all required to have unique imprints to enable their identification. I came across a strange pill and I've been trying to figure out what it is for an hour now. It's small, about the size of a Motrin. It's colour is tan-ish / very light brown. One side is completely smooth with no imprints but the other side has a split and 001 on it. I'm positive it's 001 and not 100 because the 1 has the little "tophat". This pill might be from the 70s or 80s...i found it in my dads collection from when he visitited the UK. he had valiums when were easily identifiable but cant find anything else on the Tan pill. Any idea what it is? ## The closest match I'm finding to this description is that of a large white oblong pill, with "R" and "1" spaced apart on the front of the pill.
