The imprint is actually 801, it's manufactured by Acella Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 100mgs of Phenazopyridine, which is used to alleviate the pain from urinary tract infections. It is available via prescription, or over the counter. The FDA page on it lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, discolored urine, and upset stomach. Trying to figure out what I've stumbled upon. Its yellow/white or beige/white in colour, the only markings I can find is a 40 stamped in brown on one side and nothing on the other. The edges are rounded and smooth, its got a coating on it. Looked it up and so far no luck figuring out what it is, please help! I found a vial full of unmarked yellow pills, but they're more of a pale yellow color. They're shaped like mini skittles. Upon looking online for a bit, my first impression is that they are cyclobenzaprine. However, the insides are brown. Granted I've never really cut into a lot of pills, but the brown interior is throwing me. All prescription tablets, generic or not, are required to have markings to enable their identification. Since this one is without markings, that means that it is most likely an over the counter product, so it may be difficult to narrow down. It is so tiny I cannot read it ## I am sorry, is there a way you can read the lettering with a magnifying glass or by any other means of that sort; so you could post back with the imprint on the tablet itself? U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a unique imprint on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there are many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that meet that physical description. I'm sorry, but the operative word here is Mexico! They don't keep track of most of their medications, which means that there is no identifier available for their tablets. I wish there were as it would make things much easier, but since they don't keep track and they don't require imprints, even trying to start such a database would be a ridiculously difficult undertaking.
