found red/white capsule pills in son's bedroom. They were in a baggy. He has been acting a little different in the last month but we have put it down to age (18) and the stress of football training. He is a senior this year, starting wide receiver and corner. Please help. I am not sure where to turn, Q ## I found red and white capsules with no markings in my granddaughter's room. She is in outpatient care for depression and cutting. How do I find out what they are without turning her in to the counselors? ## @scared mom, Unfortunately, there's really no way to ID a pill without an imprint. All Rx and OTC drugs in the U.S. are required by law to have an imprint; otherwise it could be a vitamin, herbal, energy, diet, foreign or illicit. It is possible that the imprint could...

I received this pill from out of the country. Its a fairly big round red pill. Scored on 1 side with two lines. Its suppose to b Tramadol 200 mg ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? What country is it from? When it comes to foreign pills with no markings, it's likely going to be difficult to determine a positive ID. However, if you can post back with more details, such as what country it's from, I may be able to find something. Thanks! ## i have a red round large pill with 2 scores and no imprint it's supposed to be a oxycodone 30 & its From overseas. is that what it is? ## this is tramadol 225mg slow release. ive seen it as round red/dark pink with either a strawberry, capital R,or 225 marking and scored on the other side. even though its slow release, be very careful of such...

My husband recently received med refills in the mail. His plavix/ blogosphere was filled this time by A pill from Dr. Reddy's. I am an Rn and I know that errors are sometimes made so I have tried to find a way to identify if he has received the correct med. It is a large round white tab, marked with an R on one side and 196 on the other. Please help me to identify if this is i n deed composite 75 mg. Thank you ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? Yes, this tablet contains 75mgs of Clopidogrel, which is a generic for Plavix. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bruising and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for the info. Much appreciated!

I can't figure out what this is. It looks speckled, maybe pink with red specks. Scored on one side, slightly rounded top and bottom, as opposed to flat. I cut it in half and put the crumbs on my tongue to taste it, no discernible flavor. Thought about crushing it for a larger flavor sampling. Not sure. That only gets you so far, anyway. It's probably nothing good, just a vitamin, right? My mom found it on the floor one day and asked me to look it up. I kinda forgot until recently, when withdrawal kicked in and I got my hopes up that it may be worth something. But I'm not gonna just randomly swallow a random pill with no markings. That's dangerous. ## Hello, Sefirosu200x! How are you? Yes, you're correct, it is very dangerous to take something that you cannot identify...

Checking to see if white pill, marked M and then 3 below the cut line, is in fact metoprolo er tab suc 100mg. First time I've seen these. They are larger than the last generics I got. I'd feel better if the 3 were a 1..... CVS - caremark sent these. The local CVS had no idea what they were. ## My last prescription for Metoprolo er tab suc 50mg was a white round with m50. Doctor called in prescription renewal. They are a thicker round white pill with m2. Mfr is Dr. Reddy's. I don't know mfr of m50. Both are mail order from CVS Caremark. Are these the same pill? ## Yes, from what I've found, both of these tablets are listed in the prescription drug databases as extended release Metoprolol. The one with the M2 contains 50mgs and the one with the M3 contains 100mgs. For ...

red oblong pill, rather large, there are no markings on it at all ## What is this big maroon pill. No markings. Is it an anabolic steroid? ## Hello, Since the pill does not have a marking on it I won't be able to give you an accurate answer as to what is inside of the pill. What I can say is that in the United States the FDA requires that all controlled medicines have an identifiable marking/imprint on them so it is extremely unlikely a prescription medication. This leaves you with the possibility of being a number of things such as vitamins, illegal substance, supplement, dietary pill etc. Since there are far too many brands and types of these available on the market you can see why it would be near impossible to actually identify something like this without having it analyzed by a...

Found 2 red capsules (looks like white powder inside) in a small clear plastic sealed bag. ## If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to narrow down what thse contain. We can rule them out as being U.S. prescription drugs, since those are all required to have markings to enable their identification. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products or even a foreign medication. Where they found in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## Hello I have the exact same type of pill. It has white powder in it, no markings, and when I opened it it smelled really sweet. I am thinking possibly a cranberry vitamin/supplement??? Are there any products that are packaged like that?

I placed 2 orders at diff times and both were supposed to be for Percocet. They both were from India. One of them came in a little bag with no packaging. The more recent one came in an actual bubble pack that had a manufacturer on it but no markings on the pills. I'm guessing I've been had. But has anyone else had this problem? ## I also ordered percocet from i dia and it arrived in a bubble pack, no marking on the pills, they leave powder on my hands as they seem to have been shaved down or something. They are oblong white pills with a barely noticable part theu the middle. Sigh* ## I hate to see these web based pharmacies taking advantage of so many people who may truly need this medication. However, at some point I think you have to decide if gambling your money on illegal an...

Not sure what these are, just looking for answers. It's a tiny red pill but a perfect circle and straight edges like the smarties candy but smaller. They are solid red but soft and the pills stick together. I was told they're for old people. ## In the U.S. prescription medications, such as Morphine, are all required to have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Thus, these are most likely something that is available over the count. The FDA warns that Morphine carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are they similar to a gel cap?

its a big red pill with letters or numbers on it. its about 2.5 cm long. it gets bigger at the top. Also at the top before it gets round, theres a darker red line and tiny holes punched under the line going in a circle. ## If there are no markings on it, it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what this contains. We can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, since they are all required, by law, to have markings to enable their identification, however, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products. There is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## sorry never mind i found out it was a diet pill but thanks for the help.

I have a package wrapped in the correct looking packaging. The name on the package is Clonazepam Tablets I.P. Repam-2 made in India, by JPee drugs. They are pencil sized round pills. Dark red. No markings. ## I filled an adderall prescription from india and ended up failing lab work for Tramadol. I read that this is common with drugs from there, and it is incorrectly dispensed Ultram with the mail ingredient being Tramadol. It is a red round pill and solid on one side, and has a line through the middle on the other. ## Hi, not long ago i received clonazepam pills that sound very familiar to yours. I found these to be very good. I contacted the dispensing pharmacy but they now say the only ones they now sell are white made by jpee drugs. I wonder if they are the same but have changed col...

oblong blue pill imprinted 3597 on one side, letter V on the other side ## I believe I located the pill in description to be Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone (650 mg - 10 mg). This pill however is red and not blue, but otherwise fits your description exactly. Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone is a combination of two types of pain medicine to treat moderate to severe pain. For many years, I have taken 25 mg of amitryptyline, a small green pill. For my last refill, I received a brown pill with the marking I 2. Is this brown pill, possibly by another company, still 25 mg? ## I jus was doing a search for an answer for this exact same question. I am going to take them to the pharmacy and ask if these are, indeed, generic Elavil. It seems I haven't been getting the same effect from these. I was getting a small round green pill before. ## Hello, Patsy and Dannie! How are you both? I'm happy to clear this up for you. This tablet is manufactured by Accord Healthcare and yes, they do list it as containing 25mgs of Amitriptyline. The FDA classifies this medication as a tricyclic antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness...

Red brown small round no marking no coating ## HI, Lisa! With no markings, it's a bit difficult to determine what the tablet contains. We can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured and approved prescription medication, because they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. The only exception for a very tiny pill might be for one that was from a package of oral contraceptives, since they are usually packaged in blister cards and aren't always required to have imprints on each tablet. How small is it? Otherwise, if it's not that small, then it's most likely an over the counter medication of some type.

I found a clear pill capsule with black and red beads in it. The pill has no markings at all. Does anyone know what it could be or where I can find out since there's no markings? ## I found the exact same thing on the floor in my house. I'm going to take it to a pharmacist and see what he/she says. I'll let you know. ## @Chickadee, were you able to get any feedback yet from a pharmacist on this pill's identification? Thank you for going out of your way to check on that for us all! I for one haven't had any luck finding specific details about it on the web thus far. @Jen, have you considered getting the pill's contents analyzed by a lab or perhaps via one of those drug panel kits that can at least help determine whether or not there are any illicit substances pres...

Trying to identify a capsule that is yellow on one end and red on the other. There are no markings. ## Do you have any thoughts as to what it is supposed to be, or any other details such as the packaging or where it was obtained? Thanks. ## Hi QueenBee, Unfortunately there is no way to identify a pill without an imprint as all Rx and OTC drugs in the US are required by the FDA to have an imprint. Unless there was an imprint that got rubbed off, your pill is likely to be one of the following: diet, energy, herbal, vitamin. Otherwise it could be illicit or foreign. looking for input on a grey and red capsule with balls inside no markings on outside ## 1/2 red 1/2 grey capsule with Black powder inside. I got dizzy, nauseous, feel weak. They said its pennicillin,..is it? ## Hello romie, Unfortunately without having an imprint on the pill there is no way for me to verify the contents of the pill. What I can tell you is that the pill is not a prescription medication as the FDA requires all controlled medication to have an imprint or marking on them for tracking and verification purposes in the event of emergencies. The pill could be a vitamin, supplement, dietary pill, candy or an illegal substance. Realistically it could be anything as empty capsules like this can be bought in bulk and then filled with anything. What you can do if you really need to kn...

Found a red and grey capsule with white powder and no markings - what is it? I cant find it anywhere. ## The FDA requires all prescription products in the U.S. to have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency, so this is most likely an over the counter product, of some type, though there is a small chance it was a specially compounded medication, or something from a foreign source. Is anyone else familiar with a capsule matching this description?
