I picked up a prescription for slow-k and there is no imprint on the pills, generally it has slow-k printed on it. What are the chances this is a counterfeit? If it is likely to be, what should I do? ## I haven't received any reply to this, someone please? ## If you feel concerned, I would take that pill to your nearest pharmacy and ask you pharmacist. Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do.

It took me almost a month and a half to lose 10#''s. Now it seems like I do cereal for breakfast, salad for lunch and whatever we have for dinner. If we eat out I gain 2#'s overnight. Then have to start over again. Sometimes I forget to take them. I am getting discouraged. I am eating less than I used to but not losing much weight. Can't say I am not hungry. Please help me.... ## Hello, Eileen! How are you doing? It would likely help to take some control of what you're eating for dinner and to stop eating out. Do you also get plenty of exercise? That's vital for weight loss, you can't expect the medication to do all the work. You should also try to find a way to remind yourself to take them. A phone app may help, if you have a smart phone. Does anyone else ha...

Took Excedrin PM. Every night for a month but took 4 instead of typical 2. Woke up in hospital. Dr. Said seizure but I say reaction to too much Excedrin P.M. Dr. put me on dilantin and I've never had one before or after. Was taking 4 a day but have cut it down too two and now ready to take only 1 before completely stop all together. No funny feelings or abnormal reactions. ## It could be due to either, or, it's hard to say from just the information in this post. Was a scan done by a neurologist? Usually a scan of the brain is used to determine epilepsy. I understand the doctor's concern, some medications can lower you seizure threshold, which could signify that you have a condition putting you at risk of seizures, anyway. But the opposite could also be true, it might have on...

Is ASC 116 slow release Methadone 10mg? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? Ascend Laboratories lists this tablet as containing 10mgs of Methadone in a regular release formulation. I have been on Bisocor 10mg for a number of years and have discovered by chance the bad affect on my breathing it caused. I need to stop taking it but understand it must be done slowly. How slow should that be? ## Hi Leetjie, Sorry to hear about the challenges you've been facing with this medication. From what I understand, usually for drugs like this, the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them "under a doctor's supervision"; if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. However, due to the severe nature of withdrawals, in my honest opinion, it would be wise to discuss a taperi...

I have been on weight watchers diet for 7 weeks and have lost only 9 lbs. I feel like this is slow. I was wondering if Paxil could be a cause of this. ## I too have joined Weight Watchers & I'm having the same problem, I have gained 70 lbs. or better since I have been on paxil for the last 2 years. Paxil really works for me, I have tried several other anti-D. so I was relieved when the Paxil, helped balance me, However this weight issue, is very depressing within itself ## Yes, Paxil contains the active ingredient Paroxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant, and it has been known to cause weight gain, and in most cases, the weight can't be lost, until the person stops taking it. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Have you...

Please let me know if anyone is taking this drug and what effects if any its having on you or your loved one. ## Tommy, I don't know your situation and why it was prescribed. Here is what I do know. In September, 2005, my dad (88 years old) was diagnosed with Chronic Mylegenous Leukemia. The wonder drug that we were trying to get at the time was Gleevec which we were told had made significant medical breaththroughs in this type of cancer. However, my dad had no RX plan and it cost $1,432 (discounted) and we were waiting for a response from the distributor if we could get help in getting it. While we were waiting, my dad was prescribed Hydroxyuerea and he was taking 1000 mg twice per day for about 2-1/2 weeks when he, himself, refused all medication after being diagnosed with stomach...

My mom's went down to 30 and I was curious if maybe this drug could casue this. ## I'm no expert but I was prescribed it once for vertigo. It made me feel like a zombie. It also tended to cause some dehydration as well. Medication is certainly different with each person that takes it. ## Does anyone happen to know when antivert was discovered and by whom, and if not a site i can go to to find out? ## what are side effects of Antivert?

Has anyones child stopped growing on AdderallXR. My son was always tall for his age and because of the decrease in appetite he seems to be slowing in growth. Our md just checks his weight not his height ## Yes, my son has only grown 1/8 of an inch in the last six months on Adderall XR. We have been referred to a pediatric endocrinologist. I am disabled veteran with chronic pain, and after reading some of these, and knowing how terrible life was before I was prescribed both types, I just cannot believe, or understand "why" it is not treated with respect, and the beneficial results, it produces. I have been taking the same dosage except for a increase in the # of SR tablets per day, and some days, I still have pain, but not to the extent, I experienced for over 20 years trying to work and be a productive citizen. People, take as prescribed, or you do not need it. My life, is not pain free, but I am not in agony, anymore.
