I've been taking symbicort for about twelve days. After 6th day, started to develop an all over (arms, torso, legs) itchy rash. Had been taking other drugs, so put it down to those, but have been off them for several days now and rash still with me. Should I stop? I'm was due to stop in next few days. ## Hello, David! How are you? Yes, it would be best to stop using it and consult your doctor. An itchy rash is usually the sign of an allergic reaction, so this may not be the right medication for you to use. The FDA lists other possible allergic reactions as including dizziness, swelling and trouble breathing. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi Everyone, I've been taking Lamisil tablets for a toe fungus and my (250 mg) tablets originated from Europe. It is my understanding the treatment for toenail fungus is 12 weeks (90 days) - but my supply is 84 tablets - I'm shy 6 tablets to complete the 90 day treatment. I'm back in the States, but my doctor does not want to write a prescription for only six tablets without coming in for a consultation - in other words, without putting a few hundred bucks in his pocket first. My question is: Is there any real difference in effectiveness between an 84 day treatment and a 90 day treatment? I'm aware that I have to wait several months before I see a change. I was told that typically in Europe these tablets, sold by the month, come in boxes of 28 - and 3 boxes would of cour...

I have 60 Tramadol pills and my prescription says to take 1 every six hours (only 4 max a day). How many days supply is that? ## That would be 15 days, if the prescription says you should take them regularly. However, this may be different if it is prescribed to be taken as needed, in that case, your doctor may expect it to last longer. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

You should have that checked out, to be on the safe side. The antibiotic can cause darker urine, but it usually lasts all day and only while you're still taking it. Do you have any other symptoms, like pain or burning during urination?

Six days ago I had 5 teeth extracted & was given approximately 10 shots of Novacaine.Every day since then I have expierenced constipation, nausea &,extreme burning sensations in my stomache & I was wondering if this could be due to the Novacaine? ## I seem to be generally constipated for a week after any novocaine. I have a sensitivity to the gluten in wheat, barley and rye. Many vitamins and medicines use some kind of grain derivative as a "holder" or "carrier" (my non-tech words) for the active ingredients. I can only wonder if novocaine also contains anything like that. I understand over 20% of population has this problem, most in worse form than I do. Am trying to find data on novocaine contents that I can understand on internet. ## It is possible, though ...

Six days ago I had hip replacement surgery. I was given three bags of antibiotics by IV. How long does it remain in my body before being excreted? ## Hello, Joan! How are you? I hope you're doing well after your surgery and recovering. It depends on which antibiotic you received. Do you happen to know? Please note that large bags of liquid would not be an antibiotic, that would be a separate small bag. The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

I was put on Bystolic six days ago. My doctor removed me from Inderal (Propanalol) after being on that drug for 27 years. The reason she gave me is I have had bronchitis and she said Inderal accentuates the problems with asthma or bronchitis. Now, I have had bronchitis in years past and my former doctor never took me off of the drug. I now see that Bystolic is also contradictory to anyone with bronchitis and asthma problems. I have had bronchitis once this year so I don't understand the need to change. The side effects of the Bystolic have been awful, cold hands, shaky, exhausted. I wonder if this could be the withdrawal from the Inderal or the side effects? I called her associate doctor yesterday to tell him I was very uncomfortable with this and he said it couldn't be withdraw...

My lungs have been conjested for six days now. A fever, can't sleep, can't breathe properly, and I have no appetite, lost ten lbs. My Dr. put me on AMOX-CLAV 875mg. Huge white horse pill, twice a day with food. Fever is down, appetite, ? a little better, but I don't have any energy at all. No side affects, lungs are still full of clear mucus. I will continue this medication for the ten days as prescribed. ## Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. It sounds like you're tolerating the medication pretty well if you're not experiencing many side effects. If you want to help speed up the process I'd also suggest staying away from dairy products in general, since they are all mucous forming by nature. In most cases, Amoxicillin usually gets the job done w...

Hi I've been taking brintellix for six days and I am also taking 25mg of hydrochlothazide, 37.5 of phentermine and 20 meqs of potassium ×2 and I am having pains (6 on a scale of one to ten) in my left upper thing (back), back of knee, inside ankle and foot / heel. My left leg/ thigh in warmer then the right probably because of the pain. My leg also feels 'dry' which is weird. I have some gastritis but nothing unreasonable. I do have to hurry to the restroom after I take my morning dose of brintellix- which I take with all the other meds. It doesnt cause too much nausea but definitely some. I am afraid that maybe something is severely wrong because of my left limb pain. Its not swollen just a little numb and very sore. My bottom hurts also. Am I doing something wrong? I ...

I have a baby. He is six years old. For the last 3 days/nights he has been suffering from a fever and cough. Please suggest me an antibiotic name that could help. ## Have you consulted his doctor? An appropriate medication will depend on what issue is causing these symptoms. The NIH lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is he on any other medications? ## My son is 4 years old & he is coughing a lot. His mucous color is yellow and he has chest pan so please advise me on some treatment tips. ## My ESR is 138, wbc-14.0, and I have had a cough and fever for the past month. I was on methadone for six years, it has been 19 days sent I have stopped taking my 95 mg a day. I have never felt so sick. I can not walk without it feeling so bad. I hope to be better someday. I want to know how long. ## That is a rather high dosage to stop cold turkey. Methadone is usually tapered, to try to minimize the withdrawal effects. They can be very bad, which is why many people end up on a lifetime maintenance dose and never entirely get off the drug. Some things you may experience can include: nausea, dizziness, chills and diarrhea. The withdrawals can usually last about a month, they should slowly improve as the drug is processed out of your system and your body gets used to not having it. How are you doing, now? ## Well...why on earth would you do such a thing? Methadone ...

I stopped taking 1 mg clonazepam one/day maybe five-six days ago because I have a back injury which has flared up and I had to take hydrocodone.... I also take zolpidem and lisinopril and levothyroxine regularly and was taking benedryl for allergies.... I quit taking the benedry and clonazempam because a nurse friend of my friend said they should not all be taken together. Originally I was also on prozac 20mg. I started most of these when my husband died suddenly a few years ago. The last few days I thought I had the flu really bad because I had terrible joint and muscle aches, then horrendous headaches and a continuous slight nausea. Starting yesterday, I have had repeated panic attacks and I am scared.... I called the clonazepam hotline for help and they really just have volunteers an...

It has been 5 days since I went off Eliquis, I am fatigued from the moment I put my feet on the floor and start moving, just walking from the house to the car tires me out to the point where all my muscles burn and hurt and I am scared I won't make to the car, sitting and lying down I am ok.....how long will this go on, I have not been to work since being on Eliquis to this day, it has been 11 days...I need to function normally, I live al...

Hi I've just had a vaginal hysterectomy six days ago and was discharged two days later and given Metrinidazole 400mg and Doxytet.I'm now having Lowe abdominal pains like menstrual pains on my left side,is this normal? ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you doing? Has there been any change? That may be a side effect of these medications, according to the U.S. FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and non-allergic skin rash. However, given that you just had surgery, it would be best to have this checked out to be sure that nothing else is going on.

Just stared taking Bupropion hcl xl 150 six days ago. Just switched from Cymbalta, having problems with headache, dizziness, difficulty sleeping, and a couple seconds long period of confusion. I am wondering if these will pass as I adjust to this drug. Probably will call doctor but wanted to hear from people who have experienced this ## Hello, Susan! How are you? What you've described are all reported as possible side effects of this medication by the FDA. You may also experience dry mouth and irritability. Side effects are usually transient and go away, once your body gets used to the medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. They may also be compounded from stopping the Cymbalta, because that could cause some withdrawal symptoms. What did your doctor advise?
