What is the difference, besides appearance, between simvastatin 20 mg drl and simvastatin? I just refilled a prescription of the drl. It is small, round and brown. The new simvastatin prescription is small, oval and sort of orange/tan. ## In this case, it is highly likely that they were just manufactured by a different company. I can't say with certainty, since the poster didn't provide the markings from the tablets they mentioned, but if the dosage is the same, that's usually the first thing that confuses many people. I have Simvastatin 20mg PINK oval pills stamped with AZ21. All "Pill Identifiers" online show BROWN or LIGHT BROWN as the color for 20mg strength. However, yes the listings cite this one as being a brown tablet and the images actually show it as being a very pale tan or beige color. I have been taking simvastin 20mg for over a year now and it has always been an eliptical tablet with the number 20 impressed.I have just received my latest prescibed tabs and they are small round tabs wit CT impessed.
