Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine mainly used to treat allergies.[8] It can also be used for insomnia, symptoms of the common cold, tremor in parkinsonism, and nausea.[8] It is used by mouth, injection into a vein, injection into a muscle, or applied to the skin.[8] Maximal effect is typically around two hours after a dose, and effects can last for up to seven hours.[8] Common side effects include sleepiness, poor coordination ...

What would happen if i were to take six L437 pm pills at once? ## The medication you're describing marked "L437 PM" is identified as Pain relief PM extra strength, containing: Acetaminophen 500 mg + Diphenhydramine 25 mg. You're talking about taking 6 of these tablets at once, but if you only took 2 of them you would've already reached the maximum safe dose of Acetaminophen (in a 24hr period); the main concern here being liver damage and other symptoms associated with overdosing. May I ask why anyone would feel the need to take this many? Or are you simply not aware of other treatment options for your condition? ## I saw a young girl take a half bottle of Acetaminophen and her eyes were Red and Black. Looked like something or someone from the X Files. This Teen had L...

I am prescribed lortab 10 every 4 hours as needed, soma 350 mg 1 every 4 hours as needed, 15 mg of ambien each night. I am sleepless n Alabama and need to desperately find a safe way to get off this medication. I have no insurance.....please help. ## If you're simply looking for a powerful sleep aid to deal with insomnia, I'd highly recommend considering medical marijuana (that is of an indica variety). It may also be of great benefit to any emotional pain you might be dealing with when it comes to withdrawing off those medications. I'm not aware of the legality of cannabis in Alabama, but for someone with no insurance, it's something you can easily grow for personal use at very little cost. Have you talked to your doctor about a safe way to taper off?

my friend took 60mg of lorazapam and has been asleep all day ## Medications can affect everyone differently, so one can only assume that your friend's heavy sleeping is attributed to a side effect of this drug. 60mg however seems like an overkill dose. The usual dose for treating anxiety is 2-3 mg/day given in two or three divided doses. Insomnia is treated with 2-4 mg given at bedtime. But 60mg doesn't seem appropriate for any condition. Did you mean to type 6mg? A few side effects of Lorazepam that could trigger prolonged sleep are: drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness, weakness Lorazepam is used to relieve anxiety. It works by slowing activity in the brain to allow for relaxation. Based on the indications for this drug, I would think that your friend simply could've had too m...

I have been havin trouble sleeping, I tryed taking restyle 0.5mg but it dint work. what will happen if I take 3pills at the same time. Will I have any sideaffects. ## It's difficult to say whether or not you will experience any side effects, because ultimately these drugs effect every person differently; where as some people get results and others it simply doesn't work for. I'd consider talking to your doctor before altering the dosage in any way. At least with your doctor's approval, only he is held accountable if you do end up experiencing some strange side effects. Have you tried anything else to help you sleep at night besides this medication? I've heard that Valerian Root was a good option for this sort of thing, due to its muscle relaxing properties. I hope th...

Pretty sure this is an OTC aids in sleep. Can't think of the name of the drug right off hand, but it's taken 20 minutes before going to bed for the night. I believe you only need one pill and it simply adds to what your brain already makes. Melatonin(?) maybe. ## This tablet actually contains 1mg of Ropinirole, the active ingredient in Requip, it is used to treat Restless Leg Syndrome and is a prescription medication. Common side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, hallucinations and sudden attacks of sleep, during the daytime. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

blue, oblong pill with imprint code of 7S on one side. I got these pills from my mother-in-law, in an over the counter container labeled Tylenol - Simply Sleep. I thought they were benadryl based sleeping pills but now I think she put a different pill in the bottle.

What is a green and yellow oval capsule marked 44 357? ## i have a blue oblong pill with 44-357 on one side and nothing apparent on the other. does anyone know what it is? ## This pill appears to be Safeway brand Nighttime Sleep aid (compare to Simply Sleep.) Each pill is 25mg active ingredient (diphenhydramine HCL.) ## Actually it isn't even close to being a sleeping pill. If you take enough you'll sleep, but that's not recommended at all. It's actually loricet 10, which is a pain pill for moderate to severe pain and is considered a narcotic. ## Brandi, im not sure if you're sane or not, but i have the same pills. 25 mg diphenhydramine which is regular strength generic sleep aid. If you have what you claim, post a picture and let folks know where it came from. You s...

I have two scripts of hydrocodone. One is stamped m365 and the other is n356. The n356 makes me sleepy & the m365 makes me hyper. Both bottles say they are the same thing, but how can I react so differently to them? ## Both M365 and N356 5, contain a combination of Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone at a dosage of 5/325mg. However, there are still some unique differences... The N356 5 pill lists Hydrocodone bitartrate while M365 simply lists Hydrocodone (by itself). Bitartrate is an acid tartrate, that from what I could gather seems to play some sort of role in the absorption process. Each pill also contains a different set of binders and fillers. So it may be that some of these supposedly inert chemicals are affecting the way your body would typically respond to the medication as a whole....

I have MS and need pain relief. I don't like the stigma oxycontin has to it. I simply don't find it helpful. Is Opana a good substitute? I take 5 mg of oxycodone for breakthrough pain but sometimes it is not enough. If I don't deal with the pain appropriately I get sicker and more fatigue. I am not familiar with narcotics at all. I will admit a fear of them. Any answers please. ## BEEN ON OPANA AND THE ER FOR ABOUT 10 MONTHS NOW. I LIKE IT. DOESN'T SEEM TO MAKE YOU SLEEPY AFTER THE 2nd DAY. MY PAIN LEVEL STAY AT ABOUT A 3 TO A 6 NOW WHEN IT WAS A 10. ## ## I have herniated disks in my t-spine and have tried almost everything out there. I started on 20 mg 2 times a day but it didn't last long enough, so I switched to 10 mg 3 times a day which gave me better coverage. ...

I have been on Lyrica for 2 weeks now. Started at 75mg 2x a day, then went to 2-75mg 2x a day. My fibro pain is the absolute worst it has been in years. I have pain from head to toe. I need to sleep 12 hours a night to have my brain feel halfway normal. My fingers look like sausages and I am totally bloated from the Lyrica. Since this is a weekend day when I'm writing this, I cannot contact my doctor. Has anyone simply stopped taking Lyrica cold turkey? I am in agony with the pain. Thank you! ## I have been on Lyrica since 2005 for fibromyalgia and one of the main things I learned was that you should have been started on a lower dose, 50mg/day for a week and then slowly increased in up by 25mg/day/week until you found your "sweet spot". Otherwise, starting to high can create...

Some medication that lists drowsiness as a warning actually keep me awake. Example percocet makes me wired. Will Etodolac act as a stimulant for me? I just got a prescription and I don't want trouble sleeping. ## There's really no foretelling how any medication is going to affect you until you've tried it. Some people get great results with no side effects, while others simply can't make it work for them no matter how many they end up taking. According to MedlinePlus, excessive tiredness and lack of energy are both listed as possible side effects of Etodolac. Whether or not you experience these side effects however, is another story. My suggestion would be to take it early on in the day, so you aren't necessarily burdened with it's effects by the time you want to...

a blue oblong pill with the numbers 25 on one side and 052 on the other ## A question has also been asked about a pink tablet, with this same marking and no identification has been found, yet. Someone posted that it was an over the counter sleep aid, which could make sense, since there is obviously more than on pill with the same marking. However, I cannot confirm this. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## It is a sleep aid called simply rest sold by fred's stores. It is really good if your having problems sleeping take 2 about 1-2 hrs before bed time.I take it 2 hrs. ## Yes It's from the U.S. it is a diphenhydramine. I have been suffering from acute sleep deprivation and found it very difficult to get expert advice or understanding. It seems that people associate the term 'sleep deprivation' with tiredness - or something like 'jet lag' - rather than the mordantly frightening experience I have gone through. At times I thought my brain, as an 'organ', physiologically speaking, was going to break. At one time I could not, I mean literally could not, ascend the stairs. I had to prop the toilet door open because of the noise it made when opened. I ended up shouting at my son, who I love dearly and am usually tender and negotiative with, simply because he wouldn't stop talking/advising about a particular issue. He has, I think, no understanding as to the real reason I shouted, ...
