I have COPD and I take Spireva. I also take Triamt/HCTZ 37.5-25 for mild high blood pressure. I have started having my hair fall out and to break off ... also I seemto be having a very fast heart rate wheb ever I stand or walk. Could one of the medications be causing this? Thanks for your help ... it is greatly appreciated! ## Most blood pressure medications are known to cause hair loss, in some people that take them, as a side effect, it has also been known to cause accelerated, and irregular heart beat, but that symptom could also be caused by the Spireva. Other side effects to the Triamterene and Hydrochlorthiazide may include nausea, headache, postural hypotension, and increased urination. Have you spoken to your doctor? You might do better on a different medication for your blood p...

Hello, I have stenosis of the left and right ICA. The left is 75% blocked and right 50% blocked. I possibly have Moyamoya, as well.(Hence the stenosis) My family doctor just switched me to this combo because after being on 50MEQ of potassium, I finally reached a normal level range of potassium. Is this something I should revisit with my doctor? I can't afford anymore narrowing! They are still trying to figure me out. ## Hello, Sheryl! How are you? I've not found anything listed in the side effects provided by the FDA that says this medication may cause more narrowing. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dehydration and increased urination. Have you consulted a cardiologist?

Is hydrochlorothiazide 25mg / triamterene 37.5mg tabs by Sandoz, greenish blue? ## Drug manufacturers can change the color or shape of any pill over a period of time without prior notice, so this is definitely something that you cannot asses unless you have the pill in your possession. Alternatively, if you can provide me the imprints and shape of the pill, I can look it up for you in a drug database and get back to you with any of these details. ## My mother has been on Triamterene/HCTZ 37.5/25 capsules for many years. I started taking Triamterene HCTZ 37.5-25mg each morning, along with plavix and asprin. I drink at least 100 oz of water every day, and I find myself retaining more fluid and urinating less. What am I doing wrong? ## Hello, Shelly! How are you? As detailed by the NIH, you are likely taking it more fluid than you are expelling. 100oz is a lot. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and hypotension. Are you on any other medications? How much do you take in of other liquids? Even fluids in your food counts.

can I still take this meds ## I have amox/k dated 4-07-09 is this medicine still good? ## If these are in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, they are generally good for one year from the date you have received them, after that, they begin to lose efficacy, since that exposes them to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light, and moisture, according to FDA regulations. However, if they are still in the original, unopened factory sealed container, they are usually good for approximately 4 to 5 years. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, headache, and hypotension. Are there any other questions?
