Side Effects Of Toplep

My husband was on misoline prescribed by the neurologist for is seizures mainly in the right hand took I for 5 months but we only realised now that the measles like rash was 1 of the side effects of that tablet and itching was very bad.Now the Doctor has prescribed toplep 25mg just wondering will this have the same side effect ## Hello, Shireen! How are you? There is a risk of side effects, including a rash, with almost all medications. The only thing your husband can do is try the one that's been prescribed and see how it effects him. If he does get a rash from it, as well, there are others he can try. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and weight gain. Hi I have been taking toplep on and off for a number of years. The one reason I stop taking it is because when I get hot from either sunbathing or at gym it makes me itch all over especially my arms and stomach. I have never heard anyone else complain about this. But I know it's the toplep as a week after I stop taking it the itchiness at gym totally goes away. Can Toplep cause Ventricular arrhythmias on a dosage of 100mg daily? ## Hello, Bernadette! How are you? Good Day, I have seen all the different side effects and 2 of the ones my neurologist has not been mentioned in the comments I read. He mentioned tingles in hands and feet, plus functioning slower than normal. Has this happened to anyone else? ## The migranes and headaches are almost not there from migranes daily all day to a mild headache maybe once a month. But I do get a bit of tingling in my feet. I have a medical problem that affects my lifestyle..chronic dizziness that is some days worse than others. I have nausea and vomiting from these dizzy spells.. I've been prescribed a 2 week course for the treatment of migraines which consists of 25mg. It will then will be increased to 50 mg if found effective. So now I just started the 25mg course and find an issue that I am constantly hungry and wanting to eaet (which is strange since I thought a side effect would be loss of appetite), and I have a constant light migraine on one side. (Luckily not a severe one which incapacitates me for a few days at a time). And I am also feeling moody (like PMS symptoms), although it isn't that time of the month plus my skin is breaking out pretty badly. Have been put on a 2 week course of 25mg for migraine and then will be upped to 50 mg. The problem is that I just started the 25mg course and find that I am constantly eating (which is odd cos I thought loss of appetite was supposed ot be a side-effect), have a constant light sort of migraine on one side (not the killer one I get that drops me for a few days at a time) am feeling sorta pms'ish although it isn't that time of the month. I'm a bit concerned - Why does the doctor prescribe epilepsy and bipolar medication to treat a migraine patient? Won't that cause a migraine sufferer to actually develop epilepsy or bipolar? Can Toplep med actually cause damage to a migraine patients and is it safe to use? I'm 5 days on Toplep 50mg. It really helps for my headaches, but I'm worried, I definitely don't have bipolar or any other depression conditions. Please help.
