My husband was given narcoset (spelling?) for severe neck and back pain, now he is so dizzy he can't stand; is this normal. ## Did you mean Norco or Percocet? They are two different medications. Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. Both, however, are narcotic pain medications and yes, dizziness can be a side effect, especially if he is not used to taking narcotics. It should wear off, as his body adjusts to the medication and it should only last for an hour, at the most, after he takes the medication. If it lasts longer than that, doesn't wear off or gets worse, then he will need to stop using them and contact his doctor. He may also experience other side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are...

I have not been on any narcotics since then, I hurt really bad, is it safe to put on a patch? ## Have you consulted your doctor? What dosage are the patches? There may be some issues, since you went from being on it, to being off, then suddenly jump back on, without taking anything else in the meantime. Your tolerance levels may have changed, so I'd suggest consulting your doctor first. ## The out of date would not worry me as much as jumping back on. I'd suggest using breakthrough meds until you talk to Dr. You had no withdrawal. Did I miss the strength or no. I would not worry if its a start dose 12.5 or so

I take narco 10s, soma 350, and the klonopIn 1 mg ... Is there any Otc medication that can supplement narcotics with? They just aren't taking the pain away lol they used to.. Appreciate it ## No, it is not a good idea to add anything else. The Norco already contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, as listed by the FDA. The Acetaminophen augments the action of the narcotic in some people that take it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. According to the FDA, narcotics can cause nausea and vomiting as side effects, in some people that take them. The reason it's only occurring during the day may be related to your activity levels, or something you're ingesting, such as food or drink. Mixing them creates a much easier risk of overdosing, either on the narcotics or the Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
