I am a 69 year old male who experienced upper gastric pain and was prescribed Mucosta t.i.d. times 7 days. After the very first dose of 1 tablet I began serious side effects: hypertension, constipation, inability to concentrate and panic attacks related to my inability to stop the effect of the drug. Depression and inability to experience happiness, or pleasure. I suspect my hypersensitivity may be related to the fact that I have genetically evolved essential tremor for which I have taken Corgard/Nadalol 40 mg for the past 20 years. WHAT IS THE HALF LIFE of Mucosta? I was given a 40 mg dose of Pantoloc which I also stopped taking after the first pill. I switched back to Omeprazole 20 mg which I took before with no problems and it seems to have ended the gastric pain.

My doctor has advised chymonac tabs. Alongwith D-Gain & Gemcal -DS for degenerative changes in LS spine. I have constipation problem after taking these med. Pl. Advise is it side effect of these med? I am 70 year old. ## Based on my research, 'constipation' is in fact listed as a side effect of Gemcal-DS (calcitriol). If however, its become too bothersome or severe, I would strongly recommend contacting your doctor as soon as possible to find a more appropriate solution. Have you considered supplementing with any laxatives or digestive enzymes to help breakdown food blockages in the intestines? Just adding a bit more fiber to your diet may even help relieve much of the constipation. Fruits such as, bananas, dates, rasins, apples, apple juice and apple cider are also natural ...

Hi, My father took Vitamin 17 and he feel bad from stomach pain. Does he stop to take a this vitamin ? Is there any side effects ? Please advise ## Hello, Jason! How is your dad doing? Why was he taking it? Was he instructed to do so by his physician? It is just a nutritional supplement, but if it makes him that miserable, then he might not be able to continue taking it. I was prescribed Baclofen to help with my alcoholism, ramping up to 5 per day. It made me drowsy - I literally fell asleep with a fork in my mouth. I could not walk a straight line, swerving when I tried. And my favorite - I peed the bed three times. I already can do these things when I'm drunk. ## Hello, Boz! How are you doing? It may be that you're on too high of a dose for your body. Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, and dry mouth can all be normal side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA, and the higher the dosage, the more severe they would be. Have you informed your prescriber? A lower dosage might work better for you and not cause such awful side effects.
