I am recovering from surgery and I have found that the little solid white hydrocodone 5/325's make my skin itch and burn horribly and also make me feel wired like I had 5 pots of coffee. The brands with the little red or blue specks, as well as the ones with the peach color (Norco I believe) do not have any of these side effects for me. The pharmacist doesn't believe me because she says it's all the same drug but there is a DRASTIC difference for me. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what is the cause? ## Hello, Jill! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one generic to another. They are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients. For most people, since these d...

My PCP prescribed Hydralazine to treat my BP after taking amlodipine, metoprolol, and carvidelol - not working for me. I was hoping that this hydralazine will work for me, 10mg bid 2 only. Now in 15 days taking this med, I always have shortness of breath, feeling that my lungs are super congested. Barely breathe and all in the morning, my anxiety became so aggressive, feeling of constantly sad. But I was also being told that it is just a matter of time that my body will adjust or adapt this meds. But it's so hard waking up in the morning breathless, so when I stopped taking these meds, all bad symptoms are gone. Please help, I'm worried what if my BP will spike. I'm back to my alternative meds, boiled lemon grass I drink morning at night and I think that helps my blood press...

Does it increase nervousness? ## Hydodiuril does not make a person nervous. But sometimes I think it deceases testosterone. Not sure. Seems to be a very mild and weak diuretic. You do not see fast results, but you do see SOME results. I probably needed a stonger dosage. I still had amounts of water retention, in legs, even after 3 years, but it was still alot better than it was before.

I dislocated my shoulder and was given morphine for the pain in the hospital. The hospital gave me a prescription for Lortab, I took two the next day. My face started to get red and now I have itching and my face is puffy. Is this just a reaction and what should I do? ## loratabs make u itchy. that is a side effect...especially if u hardly take them. the redness however u may want to ask a doctor. unless the redness is from u itching yourself like crazy!!! ## Lortab contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, it is a narcotic pain reliever and yes, it can cause some mild itching, as a side effect. However, with the redness and puffiness, that sounds more like an allergic reaction, so you should stop using them and contact your doctor, immediately, for an alternative m...

I don't take Ip272. I found the pill and the "p" is capitalized not lower case. Came across this site while looking for what type of pill this was. Don't think my incontinence problem has anything to do with this pill. But I am having a problem with incontinence. Started slowly and not frequently i.e.: only when I coughed hard. Then I started having problems because I could feel I was wetting my pants, but there was no urgency. It is as though my "crotch" went numb and started leaking all on its own and I had to get to the bathroom quickly. When I sat down, the urine came out but I didn't feel anything but I still kept urinating. Twice I have wet the bed twice but not since then and that was two weeks ago. I have been exercizing my kegle muscle and that seems...

My mother is 70 years old, her blood pressure remains 160.90 after taking repace H also as prescribed by the doctor. Recently after taking this medicine the sodium content decreases rapidly and I admitted her in hospital and given NS through vein. Does the Repace H decrease the sodium? ## HI, Rajeev! Yes, the H in this stands for Hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic that removes excess fluid from the body, when fluid is removed in this manner, it also removes sodium and other electrolytes. That most likely means that it's too high of a dosage for her to take. Learn more Hydrochlorothiazide details here. Unless she has been suffering from a problem that involves excess fluid retention, such as edema or ascites, she may be better off taking a medication that doesn't contain a ...

I was prescribed HYDROCODONE/APAP 10 M after a hernia operation and used just a few days with a stool softener. That was over a week ago, and I have had urinary incontinence ever since. I never had that problem... I am a 74 male. Is this a side effect of the drug? ## Have you consulted your doctor? It isn't a common side effect, but it has been reported in a few instances. However, you should consult your doctor to determine if it was caused by the medication, or if it is due to some other problem. What type of hernia operation was it?

Does this pill make you drowsy? I took 2 of them, just now and I want that drowsy feeling. ## The tablet with the M 360 marking contains 750mgs of Acetaminophen and 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone, the active ingredients in Vicodin, this is a narcotic analgesic. And yes, it can cause drowsiness as a side effect, but taking it just to feel that, especially doubling up on them is not a safe idea. This is often how drug abuse starts. If you are having trouble sleeping, you should speak to your doctor about proper solutions for that. Is there anything else I can help with?

My dog who is 13 was prescribed Tussigon for a cough. He has a collapsed trachea. The drug made him very sick and he struggled to breathe. He needed emergency treatment and oxygen. It cost big bucks. Was this a mistake on the vets part? ## I am not familiar with veterinary medications or procedures, so I cannot say whether or not any of this information is correct, however, here goes.... If the Tussigon used for dogs contains the same ingredient as that used for humans then it contains Hydrocodone, a narcotic that is often used to help treat coughing. The problem that I see is that since it is a narcotic, it can also cause respiratory depression, meaning if someone or an animal has trouble breathing, there is a chance it could worsen it. Now, I can't say this was a veterinary mistak...

What are the side effects of Vicoprofen? ## I was given vicoprofen several years ago for pain. After taking it for a month, I only had to take a pill once a week. There since has been controversy about it being a narcotic, so now I am just given ultracet. I have been in constant every since. If I miss a dose of ultracet I can hardly function because the pain is too overwhelming. This seems more like a narcotic to me, nokw it seems like I am really on a drug!!!!!!! ## Vicoprofen contains Hydrocodone, and Acetaminophen, both it and Tramadol are classified as opiate analgesics. The FDA warns that they both carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. can I take a zanax with a 10/325 hhdrocodone ## Dorothy yes it may just make you really sleepy ## @Dorothy (original poster), Based on my research involving drug interactions, I actually wouldn't recommend having Hydrocodone with Xanax. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, "it may just make you really sleepy" is a large understatement by post #1. Apparently using the two together can also increase your risk of certain side effects including but not limited to slurred speech, confusion, dizziness, slow/shallow breathing, and impaired cognitive function. Better to play it safe and let your doctor decide what might be best!

My husband was put on bupropion hydrochloride 100mg in september 2016. Within 3 weeks that dosage was upped to 150 mg, twice a day (300mg total). Then the first week of december 2016 the dosage was upped to 450 mg (highest dose ever given). He was to take 350 mg in the am and 150mg at 1:00 pm. Within one week on 450 mgs, his fingers in right hand are all numb! All fingers but thumb. He is right handed and cannot pick up anything. Very difficult to hold a fork - to shave - or to do anything! I am currently backing him off of bupropion and praying to god we can get back the feeling in his right hand! Unless your body is seriously pharmaceutical chemical deficient, I would most definitely try to get well without the use of chemicals. They, prescribed chemicals, have wrecked his life as wel...

JUST WANTED TO know if anyone taking this one had a problem with weight gain, im very nervous that it will make me gain weigh,,,,, ## Hi debby, When it comes to birth control pills, weight gain happens to be a "very common" side effect for any brand of oral contraceptive. This is mostly because of the fluctuations in your hormones. I wouldn't necessarily be afraid of gaining weight though as long as your exercising daily, staying hydrated, and eating an otherwise healthy diet.
