I've been taking amlodipine 10 mg for over 2 years with no real issues and was recently switched to a smaller white tablet made by Cipla and I've been experiencing side effects like headaches, frequent urination and ED. I never had these with the previous manufacturer. Is is possible that the formulation is different enough to cause these issues? i am taking espin 2.5 before to go to bed. is it right way of using? ## Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that is most commonly used to help control high blood pressure. There is really no certain time of day that you have to take it, unless your doctor has specified otherwise. Morning or night is fine. The medication can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. Because of that, some people prefer to take it at night, before they go to bed, that way the drowsiness and dizziness doesn't affect them during the day.
