I have only taken on Diclofenac Dr 75 (at 8:30am) and I have been dizzy, lightheaded, nauseated and had diarrhea all day. Granted I took it only with some yogurt because I needed it so badly for my shoulder pain and didn't want to wait till I had a meal. A bad day for me. ## Hello, Sorry to hear about your experience with Diclofenac. Unfortunately there is no real way of knowing how this drug is going to effect you the long run, since we all react/respond to these types of medications differently (due to body chemistry, age, weight, health, diet, and other individual factors that come into play). I have been prescribed diclofenaco for arthritis. I have used it twice, thinking the first reaction might be caused by something else. After 2 mos. I tried it again (1 pill,, 100mgs.) and, again, within a couple of hours acquired excruciating muscle pain in my legs. Also increased joint pain. This lasted for about 11 hrs., and was relieved only by an injection of , first, temgesic ( synthetic morphine) which took the edge off for a little while, and then Nalbufina (this is in Mexico). My doctor does not seem to believe that the diclofenaco could be resposible and I was` wondering if anyone has had a similar reaction. ## There are always people who react that way to some drugs, none of them work for everyone and some cause quite the opposite effect of what they are supposed to. ## Yes I ha...

I have been prescribed diclofenac gel and was wondering if there are any side effects. I was given this as oral nsaids are very hard on my stomach. Also, is this beneficial for a condition called Trigger finger? ## It can cause the same side effects as other NSAIDs, however, since it is topical, your body doesn't tend to absorb as much of it, so this prevents these problems for most people. It can generally help with any condition involving pain and inflammation, however, as with any drug, it doesn't work for everyone. As with any medication, the only thing you can really do is try it and see if it helps. ## If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know. ## To Verwon, Thank you for the input. i am taking 75mg of diclofenac twice a day. How safe is this drug. the internet says it is the most dangerous of all nsaids. Is this true at this dosage? ## Hi Roger, From what I could gather, the usual adult dose of Diclofenac ranges from 25-50 mg orally 3 to 4 times a day or 75 mg orally twice a day.
