I have only taken on Diclofenac Dr 75 (at 8:30am) and I have been dizzy, lightheaded, nauseated and had diarrhea all day. Granted I took it only with some yogurt because I needed it so badly for my shoulder pain and didn't want to wait till I had a meal. Do you think if I take it with a meal these side effects will minimize or as time goes on, my body will become accustomed to it and I won't have these side effects?? So no, it shouldn't cause hallucinations, that's not a normal side effect, those would be things like nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach irritation. I have been prescribed diclofenaco for arthritis. I have used it twice, thinking the first reaction might be caused by something else.After 2 mos. I tried it again (1 pill,, 100mgs.) and, again, within a couple of hours acquired excruciating muscle pain in my legs. Also increased joint pain. This lasted for about 11 hrs., and was relieved only by an injection of , first, temgesic ( synthetic morphine) which took the edge off for a little while, and then Nalbufina (this is in Mexico).My doctor does not seem to believe that the diclofenaco could be resposible and I was` wondering if anyone has had a similar reaction. ## There are always people who react that way to some drugs, none of them work for everyone and some cause quite the opposite effect of what they are supposed to. ## Yes I ha...

Also, is this beneficial for a condition called Trigger finger? ## It can cause the same side effects as other NSAIDs, however, since it is topical, your body doesn't tend to absorb as much of it, so this prevents these problems for most people. Is this true at this dosage? ## Hi Roger, From what I could gather, the usual adult dose of Diclofenac ranges from 25-50 mg orally 3 to 4 times a day or 75 mg orally twice a day. Diclofenac Extended-release dosages are usually administered at 100 mg orally once a day. A number of webpages also make a point of mentioning that the maximum daily dose of Diclofenac is: 225 mg; or 200 mg if you're taking the extended release version. Both of these medications are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so by taking them both together, she essentially doubled up on the same medication….and as to the stroke symptoms, they can both cause blood thinning and a stroke is usually caused by a blood vessel bursting in the brain. It happens to some people that take large amounts of it for long periods of time and yet others may do so for many years and never have a problem, so it is completely impossible to predict who will or will not have a problem develop from taking it. Can you take Diclofenac Sod when taking Cipro ## Actually, these two medications aren't generally prescribed together, due to the fact that combining them increases the risk of stimulation of the central nervous system and seizures. On the Ciprofloxacin Details page under Interactions it says "They may also interact with the GABA A receptor and cause neurological symptoms; this effect is augmented by certain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs."
