I m taking this tablet ,but, due to taking this after some days i am feeling less of appitite and hunger. is this the tablet rason for this?? ## Crestor contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin and is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol. Hi. I have been taking Altosec for about a week and am now suffering from a constant headache. I notice this is a side effect. I have had a triple bypass 7 years ago, and a week ago had a pacemaker fitted due to slow heartbeat.the dr has prescribed zuvamor 20mg one at night. Yesterday I has an episode similar to a hot flush with a severe pain (almost like a trapped wind) between my breastbone. It lasted about 20mins. Also a shortness of breath. All my meds is still the same but Crestor has been replaced with zuvamor. As it is evening here, I am unable to get hold of my doctor and the symptoms are receding now. I suffered dreadful side effects fromKJSH another Statin following a minor stroke so GP prescribed Crestor 10mg. For over 4 yrs now no problems. Suggest you see your GP re your side effects. Has anyone been harmed by using Pravastatin? ## I recently had a 2nd MI and was put on Crestor in hospital, sent home w/script for Pravastatin 80 mgs. I am 6 days post starting this statin and for 4 days have had severe lower back pain and lower abdominal pain severe enough to go to ER as well as taking a half tab of Vicodin to ease the pain enough to partially function. There were only 2 new meds added to my normal regime since 4/15/10. I am getting this severe pain within 3 hours of the once a day dosage so am inclined to think it is caused by the statin. Have not been able to tolerate any form of statins for well over 10 years but my doctor was insistant while in the hopsital. I have been taking Crestor 10 mg for 5 months but on various Statins for 2O years. A few days ago my skin started to feel like I had a sunburn in my face, behind my neck, buttocks and legs, plus a bit of a sore throat. I take 5mg Crestor and 81 mg baby aspirin together at NIGHT before bed and take 1400 mg fish oil in the morning. My doctor prescribed metoprolol for high blood pressure (to cut in half the 25 mg to see how my blood pressure will be).
