I have a prescription for amoxicillin 875 mg twice a day for uti.. It upsets my stomach a bit so I wondered if I can break them in half and take them 4 times a day. can i take calcium 600mg, 300 mg magnesium with 625mg amoxicillin ## Calcium can sometimes affect the absorption of certain antibiotics. I am taking Amox-clav 875 mg and also taking Omeprazole 20 mg.is there any interaction between these two drugs? Does omeprazole decreases the effectiness of antibiotic? A few weeks ago I was sick and was prescribed Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium tablets 875/125 mg to take twice a day. They worked fast and I didn't feel the need to complete the treatment. I woke up with horrible throat pain a couple of nights ago, it would not let me sleep! the next 2 days were hell. I remembered I had the meds and decided to take them. The problem? After that last time that I took them, we discovered that our 21 month old baby is allergic to penicillin. I have been prescribed augmentin to treat an infection. It seems to be working well as the symptoms of the infection have subsided, however it is causing severe diarrhea. Recently had a very bad reaction to augmentin. Now suspected MRSA wound that I thought was just a spider bite infected. They gave me this and I have never taken it before.
