I have been taking lentogesic caps for about 8 years now. 2 three times a day. Part of my rheumatoid arthritis treatment. With them been taken off the market what can i take and must I wean myself off them. ## Have you contacted your doctor to discuss an alternative? Lentogesic contained Dextropropoxyphene and Paracetamol, it is a mild narcotic analgesic and it was removed from the market due to the fact that Dextropoxyphene and its derivatives have been shown to be cardiotoxic. And, as with any medication, even if you aren't abusing it, your body does get used to having it and a sudden cessation may cause withdrawal symptoms and rebound pain. There are, however, other medications on the market that you can try, but only your doctor can help you decide which ones are safe for you. #...

Is there powder or beads in the S489 20mg capsules? ## Hi cricket, Since there aren't any photos online showing these capsules being open, I suppose the only way to know for sure would be to contact the manufacturer directly about this. If it helps any I went ahead and posted the manufacturer's contact page below: shire.com/shireplc/en/contactus Manufacturer: Shire US Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 59417-0102 Do you happen to have any of these pills in your on hand? If so, I'd even try shaking it to see what kind of sound it makes. You can generally tell the difference from powder vs beads in this manner. Hope this helps! ## Hmmm, I see a photo on this site of the capsules but unfortunately they are not transparent so I cannot tell what is actually inside them. Found the pic...

My renewed Rx shows "Tevau". Is Tevau a place, a company name. How do I find out where the drug is MANUFACTURED?? The diltiazem capsule looks entirely different from the generic I have been taking. ## Hi Ginger, I think you may be referring to Teva Pharmaceuticals (possibly a misspelling of Teva). They are a drug company and they do manufacturer Diltiazem: tapi.com/Public/Product-List/Pages/Diltiazem_hcl.aspx I would consider contacting them directly if you have any concerns about their product, but hopefully this helps to answer your question about who the manufacturer is. ## Tevau is the way pharmacies spell it on their bottles, not Teva! My mother's HCTZ bottle has Tevau. ## I was using the manufacture Act and now they switched me to Tevau and I have been dizzy for 2 days

I recd 90 day supply of omeprezol. I noticed that they were pills not capsules. I looked up pill number. The medication in the bottle was OXYCODONE 5 mg/ acetomeniphen 325! This is seriously dangerous! Someone could have died! Pills were in sealed bottle marked.Sandoz. what to do? ## Contact the pharmacy and your local board of pharmacy. ## Wow, what a massive mix up that was! Omeprazole (used for excess acidity) being replaced with Oxycodone. That really could be life threatening for someone without a tolerance to opiates! Events like this just go to show that even "medical professionals" can and sometimes do make even the most serious of mistakes. As a word of advice to other readers, always double check the pill imprints at your earliest opportunity (and familiarize yourself ...

I have a new pill my dr called in it is oval orange V on one side and 3605 on other side shows it's Hydrocodone 7.5/325 I was previous on Hydrocodone 7.5/500 not sure why dr changed it! Is the 7.5/325 a stronger pill as I have severe back issues so wondering if that's y the change! Thanks! ## The 325/500 is the amount of acetaminophen in the capsule. Most Dr.s will try to keep you on the lower end to avoid liver damage. Your pain relief should be the same. ## Hello, Carolyn! How are you? The ones with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen are no longer available. Since it does potentiate the action of the Hydrocodone, if you find it doesn't work as well for your pain, please contact your doctor, as they may need to change your dosage of it. Is there anything else I can help wi...
