Serotonin Syndrome

I recently had an emergency reaction to Brintellix. The active ingredient is Vortioxetine and it has 532 known drugs that if taken at the same time will cause serotonin syndrome. In my case i had withdrawals changing from one med to another, so i was give an anti-nausea tablet. It turned out this was one of the meds that clashes with Vortioxetine. I'm on several medications like LYRICA 150 mg 3x daily. ZANAFLEX 4mg 2tabs at night. Amitriptyline 175mg suppose to be bedtime but i take maybe 6/7 because of the other meds at bedtime, Tramadol 50 mg 2tabs 4x daily. Adderral 5mg. Xanax 1mg 1tab as needed but the way the office wrote it was once a day. Topirmate 50mg 1tab 2x daily. Zyrtec 1tab daily, i also take supplements like magnesium oxide 400mg and vit D with calcium 600mg. Ive had B12 shots also which didn't work, i still have valium 5mg left over from my doctor switching it out with the xanax..,i almost forgot the water pill triamterene hctz 37.5 -25mg 1x daily and stomach med omeprazole 20mg 1x daily. Can serotonin syndrome be caused by 20 mg of brintellix and 100 mg of seroquil? I am very sensitive to meds and any minor change in medication dosage. I am experiencing bad anxiety and agitation as well as severe diarrhea. Anything that I eat comes out the other way immediately as liquid. I have lost 5 pounds in 5 days. I have been taking Effexor XR for 3 years and added Wellbutrin XL about a year ago. I am taking 300mg of each once daily. But now I am experiencing what I describe as shocks or flutters starting at my head and traveling down my body. Sometimes I feel like I might fall but I have not. I have been to my PCP and a neurologist, after a million tests still no answer. After looking on line it sounds like serotonin syndrome to me. I ran out of neurontin after slow response from mail order drug company. I had serotonin syndrome after abrupt withdrawal from amitriptylene and fear this could happen again. Stalevo side effects.i have Parkinson's and recently got a whole host of problems including off scale Dyskinesia and manic behaviour and rigid jaw and tensions in my neck ... these have together caused huge problems and my health has deteriorated. I wonder how to distinguish what is P Disease symptom from side effect or drug interaction. Many of the new problems started after a change from Madopar to Stalevo which went wrong... and proved to be an overdose. It was also done when I was taking rasagaline... My Psychiatrist has me on 200 mg. of zoloft and I'm, being tapered (my choice) off of klonipin--currently 1mg. I'm terrified of getting serotonin syndrome! I was also on trazodone to help me sleep until I read about ser. syndrome. So now, I just deal with the insomnia. Anyone else have this terror? ## It is a very rare occurrence, so not something that you should genuinely be terrified about. The Zoloft contains the active ingredient Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant and there is as much a chance of it causing serotonin syndrome as there was with the Trazodone. Have you discussed these concerns with your doctor?

I accidentally took a chantix about an hour after I had already taken one. Should I do anything? ## Hello, Marbak! How are you? My fiance just starting taking 25mg of seroquel but she also takes viibryd and tylenol on a regular basis.
