Can Seroquel 50mg be taken together with pax 10 mg ## Yes, unfortunately these class of medications (anti-psychotics) do carry the side effect of weight gain. These meds actually slow down your metabolism causing weight gain. If you are using it for sleep which is what a lot of us are prescribing it for, so as to not get you hooked on sleeping pills. These meds side effect of sleepiness is why we use this even if you're not psychotic. Try breaking one in half with a knife and try using just half. Whatever you do if you are taking them every night you DO NOT stop taking this medication before speaking with your doctor first. my mother gets easily exhausted and breaths heavily when ever she takes few steps and or climb stairs. It has not been a big problem but she finds it difficult to take long walk or climb stairs. I had been on a lot of opioid medication for several years and Seroquel at night for sleep. Two years ago I got off the pain meds but continued the Seroquel. Over the course of a couple of of months I developed worsening involuntary twitching and jerking of my legs at night. One afternoon I sat down to pay some bills and couldn’t even see right or sit still. I went to ER and they gave me some Ativan which put me back to normal for a few hours. I have 50 mg tablets and they expired on 2/20/2015. I recently found them buried in my closet and started taking them. What harm can it cause? ## No harm, but they may not be as effective as they were, when new. Medications do tend to lose efficacy over time, according to NIH reports. However, the caveat I will add here is that the U.S. is one of the only countries that requires expiration dates, most others do not. But, it is always best to check with your doctor or pharmacist. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
