Was prescribed S. Numlo 0.25 and Telma 40 when B.P was 150/100 in 2010 by DR. A. Stopped medication after 6 months as B.P. around 130/85. I amtaking seloken xl 50 one tablet in the morning and in the evening for palpatations which suddenly occur without any cause. Can I replace it with calaptin 120 sr. I had been using calaptin for a long time. But dr advised thatseloken xl is better.I do not believe this. Give me your opinion. ## You should take the medication that the doctor has instructed you would be best for you. I have been advised by my family physician to take one tablet of CTD 6.25 after breakfst and one tablet of seloken xl 50 after lunch instead of selomax 50/5, since selomax 50/5 is retaining water in the body and causes swellimg in the feet and calf muscle. Please advise the comparative efficacy of these medicines

After bypass surgery on July 2009, I have been taking SELOKEN XL 25 alongwith other medicines. .Now Doctor has prescribed BETALOC 25.instead of SELOKEN. I underwent Angioplasty in July 2010 and one Stent was kept. My cardiologist prescribed one tablet of Seloken 25 mg daily and I am taking it regularly. However, now after checking my blood pressure my diabetic doctor also prescribed Repace 25 mg. I had under gone Angioplasty in 2010 January. One Medicate Stent & One Balloon was inserted. Then on I am under regular medication of (1) Deplatt A 75, Seloken XL 25, Atorva 10 every day. I am 64 now. I find no discomfort and maintaining my daily work from morning till late evening. My wife is 43yrs of age and is taking seloken xl 50 & olmy A tabs for blood pressure, along with thyronorm 75 tabs; often she gets gastritis. What should we do? Is this a side effect of the above medications? ## Yes, gas and stomach pain can be side effects of these medications, she may also experience dizziness, headache, increased urination, weight changes, and hair loss.
