my bp was around 140/90, age is 34, doctor has advised seloken 50xl, i have been taking this since past 1year and every month i check through the same dr, bp is around 130/86 to 126/80... what are the chances that i can stop taking this medicine. ## Is this tab available in US ? ## Ihave done ANGIOPLASTY IN april 2010.Before that my b.p. was 130/80 and i was takin g AMTUS AT atenulol and amlodipine 50/5 in the morning and Stamlo 2;5 in the evening.along other heart related medicines MY B.P. I have been advised by my family physician to take one tablet of CTD 6.25 after breakfst and one tablet of seloken xl 50 after lunch instead of selomax 50/5, since selomax 50/5 is retaining water in the body and causes swellimg in the feet and calf muscle. Please advise the comparative efficacy of these medicines

I amtaking seloken xl 50 one tablet in the morning and in the evening for palpatations which suddenly occur without any cause. Can I replace it with calaptin 120 sr. I had been using calaptin for a long time. But dr advised thatseloken xl is better.I do not believe this. My wife is 43yrs of age and is taking seloken xl 50 & olmy A tabs for blood pressure, along with thyronorm 75 tabs; often she gets gastritis. What should we do? Is this a side effect of the above medications? ## Yes, gas and stomach pain can be side effects of these medications, she may also experience dizziness, headache, increased urination, weight changes, and hair loss. I am diabetic. Had bye-pass surgery ten years back. The medicine prescribed for BP was cardace 2.5mg plus seloken xl 50 which was keeking my blood pressure under control. However, three days back I experience a sudden rise in my BP to 200/105. I was rushed to emergency. Was in hospital for 2 days. Now, doctor has changed the BP medicine to Telma 40. But the BP is showing frequent rise to 185/90 levels. My doctor is not available due to christmas holidays. Should I continue with Telma 40 or change back to my original medicine?
