My wife has been suffering from Psoriasis for the last 4 years but for the 3 months it has been spread out heavily with Red spods on her whole body including scalp. So we are using Propysalic NF ointment. My question is how long will it take remove completely. ## Hello, Govinda! How are you and your wife? Propysalic is listed as containing a steroid, so it may cause some side effects, as listed by the FDA, which could include skin redness, irritation, acne and dryness. It also should only be used for a period of 2 to 4 weeks, if there is no improvement after that, she'll need to return to her doctor to explore other treatment options. There are also no guarantees that it will remove it completely, even if she uses it for a full month. How long will she be using it? ## Hi. I have bee...

I've been on OTEZLA for 6 weeks. I also treat my psoriasis with a steroid ointment and a clobetasol FOAM for my scalp. I have to say nausea is the worst side effect I have from it. OTEZLA says you can take it with no dietary restrictions but I think you should eat 30 minutes prior to taking it. Migraines are the other thing I get frequently since taking it. ## Hello, Chelsie! How are you doing? Those can be typical side effects, as reported by the manufacturer, Celgene. You may also experience dizziness, diarrhea, fatigue, and runny nose. In such cases, where nausea is bad, most doctors or pharmacists do recommend that you make sure to take the medication with food, but it is always a good idea to double check, just in case. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Anybody take Ot...

My husband suffering from psoriasis... Will this evion skin cream helps his condition? ## This is just a skin cream that contains vitamin E, so it will not likely help much with such a condition. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness and irritation. What treatment has his physician advised? ## What OTC cream can I use for scalp psoriasis? It is about the size of a half dollar at the base of my neck. I was prescribed clobetasol propionate foam. It worked well, but came back within a month. Big problem is it was $600 with a co-pay of $300, which I can not afford. I don't expect it to go away as fast and will keep it up after clearing.

I'd suggest trying a completely different doctor to get another opinion, preferably a pediatrician. I'm from India. I have a very bad dandruff and my scalp is very dry. The dandruff comes out in patches. Can i apply candid b cream? Will it help? Will there be any hair loss? ## Hello, MK! How are you? Dandruff can have various causes, so before you can properly treat it. You need to see your doctor to figure out the cause. It can be caused by dry skin, oily skin, not washing your hair frequently enough, not properly rinsing your hair when you wash it, psoriasis, eczema and some fungi. Thus, if you use the wrong thing to try to treat it, you could end up making it much worse. What have you tried so far? How often do you wash your hair? What type of shampoo do you use? ## I have dry skin and in winters i end up having white small particles because of dry skin in some part of are. Can...

I had mild psoriasis on my scalp, elbows, and a few on my legs. Within three days of being given an intramuscular injection of kenolog10 my hair began to fall out and I started getting these small dots in various places on my body. My dermatologist swears it is unrelated to my injection, but two months later I am covered head to toe psoriasis, including my face, and I have lost 80% of my hair. I have also been on my period for going on four weeks now. This stuff is pure poison!!! ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? I am so very sorry about what you're going through. Skin reactions like that certainly can be side effects of it, they are listed in the FDA detailed prescribing information, they just aren't very common, so they weren't able to provide a specific incident percentage f...

I was on Enbrel for 5 years for plaque psoriasis and had 95% clearing. I became tolerant to the Enbrel and the plaques started coming back especially on the scalp. Was put on Stellara which caused unrelenting fatigue and nausea with no clearing at all so I stopped. I am now taking Cosentyx which caused nausea and fatigue for a day or two after each shot. I just took my 6th dose and again have nausea and fatigue. The Cosentyx has stopped the spreading of the plaques but I have not had any clearing as of yet. I have been told not to expect much for three months so I have started the timer. Good luck to all of you and thank you for sharing, it gives me hope. ## How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Yes, it can usually take awhile for any given medication to reach its full leve...
