I went to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled and was told it was too soon because I supposedly has just got the same script filled a few days earlier but the thing is I had never got that medicine filled before so someone stole a script and took it to get filled how can I find the person who did it since they used my name at the pharmacy ## Hi Tywanna! U need 2 call the police and fill out a form. Tell them what happened and they will give u a form 2 bring 2 the doctors and the pharmacy. Your doctor should then give u a new prescription. And, the police will investigate what happened. Then u will be covered. Let us know how u make out. ## No one can fill a Narcotic prescription without giving your Social Security number, to the Pharmacy, first? And if it's the first time as b...

Any one in the Anchorage,AK area having trouble getting prescription for tramadol from your Dr.? My Dr. prescribe's me 3-50mg. a day, but for some reason he now will only prescribe me 60 a month. When I first started out with him he would prescribe me 90 a month no problem. I have verifiable lower back" degenerative issue" as he put's it. With MRI to prove it. Is tramadol now looked at the same as a narcotic or what? He doesn't even want to discuss the issue. Just weird. ## From an outside perspective I can only think that your doctor may just be looking for you by playing it safe with the dosing so that you don't become too dependent or addicted to the medication. Tramadol is addictive even though its not an opiate. Tramadol is not currently scheduled as a contr...

I received 2 scripts from my doc, both are wrote the exact same, Norco 10/325 with the exact same dosage and quantity, but I read that the second one, the doc has to write "do not fill til" on it and he didn't, what does that mean? Is it no good now or I should have filled them both at the same time? ## Hello, Wondering! How are you? You'll need to stop back at your doctor's office to have it corrected. You won't be able to get both filled, because such prescriptions are tracked, via a computerized government database and even trying to get them both filled could result in your becoming red flagged and not being able to get any filled in the future. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nause...

I have person on my case load who believes her doctor is giving her her Hydrocodone 10/ 325 and was explained she's getting a higher does than 5 because if her level of pain history. She showed me the pills the pills and the imprint was 126, white, scored in the back, oblong. I checked on the Internet and it said, she's getting 5/325, but the bottle said 10/325? Is this an error? ## Hello, ChubbyZ! How are you? It seems that there is an error somewhere, because you are correct on the dosage. However, I can't speak as to whether the pharmacy dispensed the wrong pills, or if they just misprinted the label on the prescription bottle. She'd need to get in touch with them to check. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side ef...

Going to pain management for my back. The Doctor wrote a prescription for 3 times daily or prn, so when can I ask for a refill? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? How many tablets was it written for? That would help determine the numbers of days, until it can be refilled. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I am sorry I should have been more accurate. The scrip was written as follows: Hydrocodone acetaminophen 7.5-325 take 1 tablet by mouth 3 times a day as needed. The count is 90. Filled3-5-2015. Thank you for replying. Hope this helps me find an answer. ## Mary C, 1 Tablet 3 times a day for 90 tablets is a 30 days supply ...

I have just moved to south FL. and been on methadone for 10 years. I have all my records, but Dr's. in FL are all scared to take on new people from out of state. Trust me when i say It's only to take care of my 82 year old mom that I moved. I will be moving right back to Ca. when I can, but for now can anyone help with a DR.? It seems they have no problem putting you on suboxone which is a very $$$$$$$ narcotic, but does nothing for pain. ## Hello, Tim! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Are you checking with doctors offices by asking if they'll prescribe Methadone? If so, that's likely a big part of the problem, they will see that as being drug seeking behavior. Your best bet is to set up an appointment with a doctor, without asking if they...

I need a monthly prescription of methadone. Not a clinic!!!! For pain and or addiction to narcotics prescribed to me for diagnosed physical conditions. I genuinely need help. Suboxone is NOT AN OPTION! I have had a script 3x'S. Makes me feel worse! But, I continued to try... now I am prescribed 120 10-325 norco a month. Also Xanax for terrible panic Disorder. Ugh. Please help. Thank you. ## Hello, Krista! How are you? A regular doctor can only prescribe it for pain, not for addiction, that can only be done by someone specially trained in its use for such in a clinical setting. Have you already received Methadone at a clinic for addiction/pain? If so, that is what is in your medial records and no regular practice doctor or specialist will be able to prescribe it for you. Are the Norc...

im a florida resident and my current pharmacy is out of three narcotics that i take can i fill my scripts in new jersey new jersey is my home state so i am there quite often ## Hello, Dernise! How are you? If the prescriptions have been written by a doctor in Florida and you live there, then it is highly doubtful that a pharmacy in another state will fill them, because that means they are difficult for them to verify and it makes it much easier for someone to doctor and pharmacy hop. Have you tried checking with other pharmacies in your area to see if they have them? ## If the pharmacy is out, simply ask them to order it. Normally a pharmacy can have it in a couple days. ## I have a script from Yonkers ny n I can't find nowhere to fill my script which is oxycodone 30mlg quantity 140...

I would like to know if you have to have a prescription for Acetaminophen, Caffeine, Chlorpheniramine, Hydrocodone,or Phenylephrine? ## Well for a couple of the individual ingredients (such as Caffeine and Acetaminophen) you don't because they are over the counter. But for Hydrocodone or this actual combination of meds then I would say yes, definitely... ## The Doctors are so scared of abuse here that in our small town they will not give you narcotics unless you have been in a serious wreck or have bad kidney stones. I had a stone once and was given just Darvocet. My husband has Degenerative Disc Disease and an irritated joint that flares up every now and again in being treated with Lortab 10's and Diazepam. but he lost his job to cut-backs and his insurance, so he lost his Nero...

I have a written prescription from my primary doctor dated 11/20/10 for Hydrocodone. What is the last date it can be filled by a pharmacist? ## Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever and, therefore, a controlled substance, so most pharmacies will not fill it this long past the date it was written. You can ask, because some pharmacy policies vary, but the chance of getting anyone to do so, without approval from your doctor is highly unlikely. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other comments or questions? ## A prescription of this type (a schedule III controlled substance) is good for 6 months also it only is refillable 5 times not counting the original fill.

Can anyone help me out? I am trying to find a doctor on Long Island that is loose with the scripts. I have awesome insurance and/or will pay cash. ## Hello, Brian! How are you? The days of doctors being loose with prescriptions are over. The DEA set forth new regulations last year that further tighten things up, how much a doctor prescribes, why they prescribed it and how long they prescribe such a medication are all under scrutiny, now. If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll now also have to see a pain management specialist, a general practitioner won't be able to prescribe it for you. Thus, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming ...

I need methadone and take it daily at the clinic. I cannot afford the 12 dollars a day for me and my wife. What are my other options? Are there any free clicks or doctors who can write it for me. I may be able to get the medication covered on my insurance. ## Hello, Mark! How are you? I'm sorry, but for addiction treatment, a clinic is your only option. A regular doctor isn't allowed to prescribe it for that. And the clinics also have to have you come in regularly. Eventually, you should be able to have some take-homes, but no, they can't write you a prescription for it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone tell me what action I should take in order to have my prescription replaced? ## Hello, Ray! How are you? You'll need to report the theft to the police and obtain a copy of the police report of theft to validate it for your doctor. However, even then, they may not replace it for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How are you? According to the conversion charts provided by GlobalRPh, one 50mg Tramadol is equal to one 5.325 Norco/Vicodin. Though, you shouldn't take the Tramadol, unless your doctor approves. Tramadol is a very mild opiate. CAN I FILL OUT MY NORCO 10mg SCRIP WITH MY MEDICADE CARD EVEN IF MY PAIN MANGMENT DOESN'T TAKE IT. ## Yes, if it covers this medication, then you should not have a problem using it to pay for the prescription, regardless of whether or not the doctor you are seeing accepts such coverage. Norco is a narcotic analgesic, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, constipation and dizziness. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

I'm not even sure if I should be on an antidepressants I have hyperthyroidism and Graves disease they haven't got my thyroid levels straight yet which could be the cause of all of my problems I don't know what to do?? Can someone tell me what medicine they take for sciatic nerve, hip hurts and lower back. I already take norco but this not helping me. ## Hi Deborah, May I ask what treatment options you've already undergone? (i.e. surgery, acupuncture, natural alternatives, heat/ice treatment, chiropractic manipulation, massage therapy, light physical exercise (yoga), eating more plant-based foods etc). I would normally suggest taking advantage of those options before relying on prescription narcotics; mainly because things like yoga and natural alternatives can be done throughout your life without necessarily being dependent on your doctor. I hope this advice helps! ## What alleviates the pain can vary from person to person, so the only way to find out what works for you is by trying different med...

I am moving to Florida from New Jersey in dec my Dr writes my scripts for oxycodone 15 mg and oxycontin 20 mg for two weeks and gives me both of them post dated to fill 2 weeks later for 2 more weeks bc of my insurance will I have trouble filling the post dated scripts from Jersey in Fl when I get there ? ## Hello, Jamie! How are you? Yes, you most likely won't be able to get them filled. Most pharmacies won't touch out of state prescriptions, because it's much harder to verify their validity. Supply problems have also caused many pharmacies to have to restrict their customer base to only people who live within a certain radius of their store and whose doctors are also located within a certain radius of their store. I am not doctor shopping yet it seems that everyone that is has made it very difficult to fill my oxycodone script. I live near jacksonville, fl and am starting to get worried... most of the pharmacies that I have called treat me as if I am doing something wrong by trying to fill my meds ## The problem is, probably, that you are calling them. When it comes to narcotics, theft is a very real problem for pharmacies, now. Thus, when you call, even if they do have them, they will usually tell you that they don't have any in stock or do not carry them. The only way to get a real, accurate answer, is by going into the pharmacy, with your valid prescription in hand. This is why you are getting such a bad reaction on the phone, they don't have any way of knowing if you are a legitimate ...
