I have found a Lee's Save The Baby 1939 old medicine bottle in an old house that we have in the back. We were cleaning out the house and found it. The bottle still has some of the medicine inside and it;s still in the box. Can anyone tell me how much this would be worth and where I can possibly sell it? Thanks. If anyone can help me please use my e-mail address: xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy}. Thanks again!! Any help on this would be appreciated. ## Hi, I have seen used bottles of Lee's Save the Baby sold on ebay - If you still have it, I would be interested in purchasing it. We are putting together a "goody" bag for my mother's upcoming 80th birthday and Save the Baby was always used in our family until the FDA took it off the market. Thanks. ## Did anyone have Save...

It worked!!!! It was the best. It also was sold as Buckley's Cough Medicinie. I miss it. Nothing compares to it. ## Hi pecool, Did you happen to come across any other retailers or distributors that still offer this medication? After doing some additional research, I found that Dextromethorphan is the name of the active ingredient. However, the Buckley brand itself seems to only be available in Canada. There are also notices from the FDA stating their intent to remove some unapproved allergy, cough, and cold medications from the market, that may include Dextromethorphan. You can read more about this important warning message at: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682492.html For more specific details on the availability of this product, Buckley's customer service department c...

Is the formula for Lee's Save the Baby (liquid in the glass bottle NOT the rub on salve) patent protected, does anyone know how to obtain the formula ## It was made by the Lee's company and yes, it is patent protected. The reason it is no longer available is that it contained Camphor, yes, even in the liquid that was taken internally and the FDA has recognized this as being unsafe. Camphor is now only approved to be used topically. As to the other ingredients, I am sorry, I have been unable to discover that. Does anyone else know? ## We used Save the Baby in the 1970s and got it in Maine. It was made by a family in New York in the late 1800s. It contained Canadian Balsam and was suspended in a lard base. My grandmother, mother, and myself have used Save The Baby on our children's as a warm chest rub. I would put a T-shirt on them. I have also rubbed it on my husband's and my chest over our lung area front and back then wore a T-shirt to bed. No matter how sick with a cold or congestion we were, we would sleep through the night. What was really great about this chest rub is that it never got you cold. I have used Vick Vapor Rub and it makes your chest cold. Four generations of my family have used Save The Baby Vapor Rub and now that I have grandchildren and greatgrandchildren;one of which has croupey nights, I have searched many Pharmacies around and have been unable to find any. looking to order save the baby by lee ## We have had quite a few people ask about this recently, however, it is no longer available on the market in the U.S. The reason for this is because it contained Camphor, which was found to be unsafe, if taken internally, so the FDA had to have the remove it from the market. Is there anything else I can help with? ## A site by the name of elydrugs carries 'Save The Baby'

The is in a clear bottle with a red screw on cap. The liquid is yellow in color It has oil in it that separates and goes to the top when bottle sits. To use run the bottle under warm water and shake to mix. Applythe warm liquid tothe child's chest and under nose to relieve symptoms of croupe. Instead of placing a drop under the nose you can also place it on a pillowcase or sheet. ## It was made by the Lee's company and yes, it is patent protected. My wife aged 27 is in the 11 th week of pregnancy. she has been advised to take Ecosprin once in a day with NaturogestSR300. will this harm the foetus. Moreover, will this cause any sideeffects ## Hello, Asif! How are you? Congratulations on the baby! :-) All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, but they may be necessary if her doctor feels the benefits outweigh any potential risks. Ecosprin contains the active ingredient Aspirin and if given during pregnancy, it's usually because the doctor wants to make sure that adequate blood flow is making it to the woman's uterus and the baby, but only the doctor can let her know for sure why he wants her to take it.
