is there a difference between the oxy-IR 5 mg pills vs. the capsules. I have a bad reaction to the pills but not the caps. Thanks. ## What type of reaction did you have? There can be differences in generic medications, they are allowed to differ, in the active ingredient, from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20%. For most people, such fluctuations are not a problem, but some people are very sensitive and can experience problems. In addition, the chemical salts also do not have to be exactly identical, so if the manufacturer of the pills used one that is slightly different, that could also have caused your problem. Are there any other questions?
