I have a new doctor my old doctor left and his partner took over.i have been taking Oxycodone for over 25 years for CRONIC cluster headaches. I was taking 12-13 a day with no brake through.he dropped me down the first new visit to 6 a day or 180 a month, he did a saline test and I have been taking them only when I needed them because I think he's going to dump on me and now days doctors don't give out pain meds so I'm trying to stock up. Taking methadone 10 mg 2x day for 3 month & oxycodone 10 mg 3x day for 3 years. Have pancreatitis, severe spinal stenosis & spondylosis. Took 10 mg methadone & 10 mg oxycodone as prescribed. About 1 hour before surprise saliva test I repeated this for agonizing headache & neckpain. QUESTIONS; will second dose of each drug register on saliva test in one hour? Lastly, Dr. said "saliva test was to check how all my medications were working or try something else." Is this a real test (check to see how meds are working?) I take oxycodone/acetamino. 7.5/325 for pain. I also take LOMOTIL prn for diarrhea. On my routine drug test(saliva), I tested positive for MORPHINE as well as the oxycodone. I have not been on MORPHINE since Oct. of 2013 (6 months ago). Why am I testing positive for Morphine now? Is it the Lomotil? ## Hello, if the saliva test was a rapid screen test and you came up positive for anything whoever gave you the test should have sent a sample to a lab for a confirmation test using the GC/MS method of testing. If it was a rapid screening test like you can buy for home use, it is possible you got a false positive for some reason. FYI, the detection period for opiates in saliva is only 24-48 hours.
