Unless it is accompanied with hives, itching and/or swelling, it is nothing to worry about and will eventually go away on its own. You may also experi...

my doctor prescribed 15 milligrams of Amrix with 5 refills. It has helped me tremendously! My lower back pain is work related ( I'm a Dental Hygienist),and retirement is not in the picture for a long time! Would it be safe to continue taking it? ## Hello, Shelly! How are you? As listed by the FDA, Amrix contains the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine, which is a muscle relaxant. You can take it as long as your doctor approves and deems that it is safe for you. I was wondering if I could just skip the white pills and just start a new pack and if that would make me skip a period? How safe or effective could that work? ## Yes, you can do this, it is something women have been doing for years. It is perfectly safe and allows to skip your period when needed, one of the advantages of being on birth control. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## hello there! the link didnt work but thank you for your help. but i have another question. even though the 3 weeks of active pills are different colors which means they contain a different amount of hormones.. would the whole skipping the sugar pills still work? and your pr...

I'm going on a cruise in March . I'm supposed to be on my period during that rime. I was told to skip the sugar pills and start a new pack and I won't have a period that month. Is this safe for a 44 year old? ## Hello, Sheila! How are you? As long as your doctor approves, there's no harm in it. But there are no guarantees that it will work, you may still experience your period, or some spotting. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS like symptoms. It's actually a bigger concern that you're still taking them in your 40's, because that's very unusual. Most doctors won't prescribe them for women past age 40, due to the increased risk they cause of blood clots....

Hello, I am an 18 year old female and have been using Nuristerate for a month now as contraception. The problem is that I haven't gotten my period so I am of course worried. Is this normal? Or should pregnancy be considered? I'd like to add that my boyfriend and I have always been safe during intimacy. Would desperately like a reply. Thank you ## Some women don't experience periods, while using hormonal contraceptives, as reported by the U.S. FDA. Other side effects may include administration site irritation, redness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. However, if you are concerned, there is no harm in checking for pregnancy. Ok so I just started the sprintec. If I'm on the white pills and want my period to stop, should I start on my blue bills again?? ## Hi Boo! U should really stick 2 the directions of taking the pill. Even though the white pills r 2 keep u on track, u should still take them. U want 2 keep your body on a schedule. Did u just start the pill, recently? If so, your periods could b off 4 a couple of months. Then, usually, the periods will slow down. Some women don't get their period, after a few months. Hope this info helps. ## To prevent your period, you'd basically have to let it not start, but going straight into a new pack of active pills and skipping the white ones. It is usually perfectly to safe to do, once in awhile, unless your doctor gives you some reason not do. There ar...

However, if your doctor has told you to take a lesser amount, then please follow their instructions or make sure it is safe for you to take this much, since everyone is different and these are just general safety guidelines. I have taken OTC-lo in 4 pack doses getting my period every 3 months, instead of every month for the past 7 years. I started with the Depo Shot, but it made my hair fall out, so my Dr. suggested doing OTC-lo this way. It's been wonderful. I have regular periods every 3 months, less cramping, less moody, and so much more convenient. A little research will show you that OTC-lo actually is NOT a steady dose of hormones; it is Triphasic which means 3 weeks of varied doese. If I recall ...

Hi, I am trying to time my period to finish before my wedding on October 4th! I have been taking tri-previfem for several months, and have it scheduled out the I would be on my period during that same week of my wedding. Can I adjust the order I take the pills to have my period a week earlier?! I am on my period now, I usually bleed from Wednesday to Sunday. I actually had some spotting this period prior to starting the placebo week. Any thoughts or suggestions? ## Hello, Katie! How are you? Congratulations on the wedding! Yes, it is safe to do that, unless your doctor gives some reason why you shouldn't. Many women do it to get control of when they have their period, to avoid having it on special occasions, or to skip their periods altogether. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi this is my first pack of sprintec I take my pills at 11:00 everyday and never missed one and I'm on my 3rd white pill but still haven't started my period I also had unprotected intercourse on the 7th day of starting this birth control .. I don't know if I should take a test or just wait it out ??? Help ? Please ? ## Hello, Buttercup09! How are you? Did you start the tablets the first day of your period or at another point in your cycle? If you started on the first day of your period, then you were immediately protected, but if you started them at any other point in your cycle it would take a full 7 days for them to become effective to prevent ovulation, so it wouldn't be safe to have unprotected intercourse until the 8th day, or later.
