I lived in a cold place since a long time now we have shifted to chennai and here is too hot due to climate change i am suffering from fever, stomach pain, loose motions,vomiting..i have vomited for more than 10 times even if i drink a sip of water it is coming out instantly..please help me what to do?? ## Hi Samy, I'm so sorry to hear about what you're dealing with. My guess is that you may be experiencing heat stroke. I would try applying some peppermint oil to your stomach and chest area (be sure to dilute it by mixing it with a type of oil or unscented lotion, I prefer olive or coconut oil). Also, adding a couple drops of the peppermint to some ice cold water should help to cool your body down. You may continue to vomit, but the oil should still be able to get into your blood ...

Hello I have been on Amplodipine 5mg tablets for 18 months but my ankles kept swelling up. They have changed my tablets to Losartan Krka 50mg which I did not take as I thought they made a mistake by giving me 50mg tabs instead of 5mg. The doctor has now said that it is ok to take 50mg as it is the same as the 5mg tabs just a different make .I am not sure about this can you please confirm this is correct I know live in Cyprus and I know of many mistakes that have been made here.. Thank you Linda ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Sorry about the confusion. Yes, if you were on 5mgs of Amlodipine, you'd need 50mgs of the Losartan to be therapeutically equivalent. The Losartan is in a different class of medications, it's an ARB, while Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, so they work...

Why do Pristiq only come in 100 or 50 mg tablets. I have to take 150mg daily and i am therefore having to pay for both scripts each month which is rather costly. ## Studies have shown that even though it is safe to take pristiq in doses greater than 100 mg it has shown no increased effectiveness. Therefore 150 mg is not a sensible dosage. Speak to your doctor. ## Hi, Jasmine! I am sorry about the issue you're having, but Buttons is on the right track. Once a medication has been tested and the various efficacy levels of dosages have been proven or disproven, it is only manufactured in the approved dosages. Thus, if they found during testing that there was no benefit to a higher dose, or perhaps even dangers found to using it in higher amounts, then they will not manufacturer those do...

I am scheduled to take 1, 3 times a day. they are orange (light) a V on one side, scored and say on the back; 36 score mark 05. I have taken as many as 4 at one time w/o getting relief, but do feel there is a small amount in them, just to keep from withdrawal. ## In addition, I got this RX from the hospital pharmacy, no independent parties were involved. Are these places more likely to get less potent or fake tablets? or was there misuse of the main ingredients in the manufacturing process? ## Most likely it's just that the medication doesn't work well for you for pain. Not everything works for everyone that tries it, which is why there are usually multiple options to try in any therapeutic medication category. Additionally, if you've taken it before, your body may have buil...

I have High Blood Preasur and High chalestrol and 4 years ago i have heart surgery tripple by pass so is it safe to take this medicine and where can I get this thanks. Sam ## I've found several listings for products under the name Lorax, one containing Lorazepam and one containing Loratidine. Neither of those will help with an erectile dysfunction problem. Have you consulted your doctor? In light of your medical conditions, it would be remiss of anyone to try to suggest a treatment, without knowing your medical history and the other medications you are taking, so only your doctor will be able to help you with this.

I used valsartan i.p.40since 10years but now my blood pressure is not in control ## No medication works for someone forever in the same dosage. Our bodies do eventually get used to them and we may need a dosage change, or to try a different medication, according to NIH reports. The typical side effects of this one are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Are you on any other medications? Has anything else changed in your diet, or lifestyle?
