I would like to know what potential side effects are associated with the use of Stamlo-T (Amlodipine + Telmisartan)? ## Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker and Telmisartan is an ARB, both of them are commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach pain. ## Hello... For around 3 years, I was prescribed amlodipine 2.5 for my bp.... Recently, my doctor changed it to telma h 40... However, I started getting some intermittent itching sensations in my hand and legs and saw the doctor again... Google shows itching as a potential side effect of telma h. Then the doctor again prescribed me amlodipine 5mg; however he said he never saw any such side effect of telma h in other patients.... Also, when I ...

Hey i had a small boil on my back that we thought was a spider bite 2 days later it started swelling and 2 more days after that we put a warm compress on it and it started draing on its own now im on a antibiotic but it just keeps draining is it working or not only beenon antibiotics for 2 days ## You should still finish the full course of the antibiotic, as prescribed. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Has there been any change, yet?

so I started birth control (sprintec) the second day I got my period. I started it Saturday night and took it the next morning (Sunday) when I woke up. I went tubing that day and had my period the whole day like normal. then the next day I did not bleed much it was that awkward brown sort of thing and then I completely stopped bleeding a couple days after that. I'm on the "placebo" week of my first pill pack. I'm about to take my 3rd pill of my placebo week and I still haven't gotten my period. is it my body just getting use to taking this pill?? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? Yes, it's most likely due to your body getting used to the hormones in it. You can experience such irregularities for the first 3 months, or so. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may...

I have had severe chronic nerve pain in my lower back from a botch-up surgery for 7 yrs. I was taking roxicodone 30mg with percocet 5/325 for breakthur til 2 days ago, my doc prescribed fentynl patch 50mg along with 15mg roxicodone for breakthru. having serious pain, is it safe for me to double the 15? I feel like I would be literally double-dosing but the pain is intolerable. I hope someone out there can offer me some good advice or a solution. ## Hi Juliette, Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain. Based on your description, it looks like the doc has substituted the percocet as well as 15mgs worth of roxicodone for the fentanyl patch. And this is just my theory but it seems to me that he's trying to taper you down off the roxicodone, perhaps as a way to keep your tolerance ...

I started this birth control on the Sunday after my period, with the first row of a brand new pack ... So will my period come if I take the brown and white pills next week? Isn't my period suppose to be on the 3rd blue row? I'm confused. I finished the 3rd blue row and it's like I have my period but it's dark dark brown ... What's going to happen when I take the brown and white ones next week .. Ahhh ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? No, you will get your period the 4th week of the pack. The spotting that you're experiencing can be a normal side effect of taking oral contraceptives and usually takes about 3 months to wear off. You may also experience nausea, headache, irritability, weight gain and PMS like symptoms. If the bleeding continues, you may need to switch t...

hi. i had my menstruation on january 1 and it ended january 5. i had intercourse 2 days after but it was protected. then I decided to take nordette 21 4 days after. i was not on my period and it said to take the first pill on the first day of period but i took it anyway. will this still be effective? ## Will nordette 21 be still effective even you started taking it not on the first day of your period (but within the scope of 72hrs after intercourse)? Like in my case, i had intercourse 8 days after the last day of my period an took the first pill 9 days after my last of period. As per Nordette instruction it should be taken on your 1st day of period. But i was so focused on taking it within the scope of 72hrs so i miss the instruction that it should be taken on the 1st day of period. Ple...

My OB/GYN says this will not cause weight gain and prior to hormone replacement therapy I had developed a bigger stomach w/a pretty sudden gain of 15 pounds. After starting these meds my weight went down and I'm 5 lbs. over my norm but still thin except for my stomach. I hate the fat that has accumulated there and a bit in the pubic region, it is depressing me terribly. HATE my body and nothing, exercise nor diet does a thing (considered underweight by all). What is it and what can I do? ## Hello! How are you? Sorry about the problems that you're having. Weight gain in that area of your body and nowhere else is usually attributable to the hormonal imbalance. It generally occurs when you're ratio of progesterone to estrogen is out of whack, like being low in progesterone and ...

I took a month off of bc pills to give my body a chance to cleanse in a way. I have endometriosis so I need to be on bc pills continuously which means I'd skip the placebo pills and go right to the next pack. Jowever no where in the I instructions for lo estrin fe does it explain what the brown and white pills are. I heard the brown ones are reminder pills which makes no sense to me. Do they have hormones like the blue pills? And are thw white pills placebo? Or the brown ones?I need to skip all placebos so I am only taking the blue pills continuously. But I wanna make sure the brown onea arent improtant to take. Thanks! ## Hi amanda, According to the prescribing information on loloestrin.com, Lo Loestrin Fe consists of 28 tablets in the following order (3): - 24 blue tablets (active...

I have been prescribed 50mg of pristiq for severe anxiety. Often I've seen a common side effect on the libido. Can someone tell me how you felt, if anything? What changed? Is it permanent? Did you have any other negative side effects? ## The FDA warns that it can lower the libido, other typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Yes, they are all reversible and not permanent. Can anyone that's taken it chime in with their experiences? ## I've deffinelty experienced the nausea, causing me to vomit and take time off work. I've noticed my mood is very mellow which I've never in my life felt!

Can I get any feedback from someone who's been in a similar situation? I have a very physical job... Am i going to be too sick to work? ## There is really no way anyone can say for sure, since we are all different and may not react the same to any given medication. In most cases, people try to start a new medication, when they have a few days off, that way you can find out how it is going to affect you, before working, driving, or operating heavy machinery. The FDA does warn that it could cause nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, and diarrhea as side effects. Have you started taking it, yet? Can anyone with experience taking it chime in? ## I am also genotype 3 and 30+ years. For the most part I've been ok on Epclusa. (This is the final week) but if I don't drink enough water I...

Do Atomoxetine generics have good or bad brands, and if so, which ones? Anyone who has been on an Adderall forum knows how terrible some of the generic brands are. And some make Atomoxetine too. Which ones have you tried? Even if you haven't found any to be better or worse than another.

I am on limited funds and have a chance to stock up on Jev 1.5 cal nutrition drink cans, they are my only source of nourishment, how long can I store them at room temperature and still drink safely? ## Until the expiration date on them. Liquids tend to degrade and go bad much faster than other formulations. It would be best to not purchase more than you can use, before the expiration. The FDA classifies this as a medical food and its typical side effects may include nausea, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take armodafinil 300mg 1st thing, and 250mg 8h later. It's for excessive daytime sleepiness. It's successful in stimulating me mentally - I now have full days instead of half days, like normal people. My body's still tired, though, often feeling worn out and ready for bed. Is this normal for some people? Ideally, I don't want to take a smart drug to stimulate me physically as well. The other thing is that it sometimes makes me anxious - but I do need this dose. I have access to Diazepam, green tea (containing theanine) and alcohol - what's the best answer? Is it correct that Diazepam undoes the effect of the armodafinil, the opposite if you like? Does green tea contain enough theanine? I'd rather avoid alcohol, if I can.

Hi, I have been in pain for some time now. I went to my dentist a 1 1/2 weeks ago. There is no swelling and no clearly visible reason on the X-rays as to explain why I am in pain. The dentist thinks it could be 1 of 2 teeth that are next to each other but can't be sure. He put me on clindamycin and said if the pain goes away then we know it was a small infection. But if the pain doesn't go away we will have to see what else could be going on. Well, I have been taking the clindamycin for one week today and have 4 more days of pills left but I am still in pain and taking too much ibuprohen. Do you gave any idea what else could be causing my pain? What do you think my dentist will look at when I go back? ## Hello, Dee! How are you? If there's nothing visible and nothing showed ...

I've been taking cephalexin 500 mg 3 times a day for 5 days now for my upper respiratory infection and sinus infection per dr request but i still feel pretty rough. Still coughing and blowing out nasty stuff. Why isn't this working yet? ## Hi Janice, Sorry to hear about your situation. Depending the severity of the infection(s) some doctors prescribe these antibiotics for up to 7-10 days, so it's possible that you may not get full relief for another 2-5 days. On another note, Cephalexin also has some strange side effects that in my opinion could inadvertently be mistaken for an ongoing infection. This includes "coughing, nausea and vomiting, sore throat, tightness in the chest, etc". Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0044994/#DDIC603067.side_effects_section But n...

I am on Simvastatin 20 and continually worry about side effects to liver and other organs. Can Sertraline 100 mg tablets be cut in to four pieces and still be effective? My doctor has given me the okay to try different dosages. 50 mg is not enough and I would like to try 75 mg but Sertraline does not come in that dosage. I have 100 mg tablets and want to break them in half and then cut some of the havles in half to get 75 mg. Will doing this cause a problem with how effective the medication is? ## There is nothing special about the tablets that will affect the medication if you cut them further, as long as your doctor has okayed it. Learn more Sertraline details here. However, there is a 25mg dosage available, so it may be easier just to ask your doctor to prescribe a couple of them, so you can be more precise about the dosage.
