these were left over in my pill box. They are small white flat, one side blank the other with 54 840 does anyone have a clue? I found a bottle of unmarked pills in my home they are off white and very small. They have the numbers 64-840 on them ## 54 840 contains 20mgs of Furosemide, a generic for Lasix, this is a diuretic, used to treat hypertension and edema. My Furosemide dose continues at three 20mg pills twice a day, but a change occurred with the manufacturer. It was Westward (54 840) and now it's Solco Health (V 3169). My daytime blood pressure is now dropping. Is there any correlation between this and the differences in pills? Both are 20mg tablets. ## How low is it dropping? Have you made any other changes to your diet, or lifestyle? Sometimes, as ones blood pressure gets lower, medication doses need to be lowered to keep it from going too low. Are you also making sure that you are staying hydrated? Furosemide works by removing excess fluid from the body, and if you become dehydrated, that will also cause your blood pressure to drop. Other side effects may include dizziness, headache, and increased urination.
