I have been going to pain management for 20 years. This time around, I got a new Oxycodone Hydrochloride pill marked "RP-20", which doesn’t seem the same as other 20 mg pain pills I've had. Does anyone know if it's an instant release or extended release tablet? ## They are made by rhodes and I believe they are instant release. Mine were anyway. ## I was told by a medical professional I trust it most likely is an immediate release type from Rhodes Pharmaceuticals as they have taken over a large part of making these meds once dominated by Mallinkrodt

I had been taking suboxone for over 4 years but was recently switched to the buprenorphine without the naloxone because of my severe renal impairment. This also causes me a lot of nausea and vomiting, so the switch actually helped me a lot, but still these pills I get at my pharmacy are so big I have issues getting them down properly. I know they discontinued the really tiny ones, but does anyone know of a manufacturer who is currently making a smaller version? I'm currently taking the RP/b8 ones. I'm supposed to get my refill in a few days and I'd really like to switch, so any thoughts or info on this would be helpful, thank you! ## You're supposed to take them sublingual not swallow (suck them under tongue till they dissolve) hold in your mouth for about 10 minutes. Why does the oxycodone 20mg. Taste sweet if I take a bite out of it ? ## Because it may have RP on it ## @mickey, It could certainly be one or more of the binders/fillers they use. If you post the imprint of your oxycodone pill, perhaps I or someone else could look up the list of inactive ingredients. This way you can better determine what changes might've occurred upon switching to a different manufacturer's brand or generic version than what you're used to. NOTE: If you click on the following National Drug Code link (42858-004-01) it will direct you to a page with the inactive ingredients listed for 20mg Oxycodone made by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals. Hope this helps!
