I was given Percocet 10/325 when discharged from the ER for a bulging disc resulting in BIG paun. (Continuing back problems~ degenerative disc disease, old horseback riding injury, etc.) The Neurosurgeon changed my pain med to Roxicodone (oxycodone hcr on bottle) 10 mg. I am ABSOLUTELY NOT getting the same relief from this medication. Can you tell me why? Same stuff only no acetaminophen in Roxicodone right? Which is stronger oxycontin sr 15mg ter or Oxycodone hcl 10mg ## The 15mg dosage would be stronger, since you'd be getting a higher amount. However, from the information in your post. how they work for someone may be different, because of the difference in the formulation. Oxycontin is a time released formulation that is designed to slowly release that 15mgs over a period of 12 hours. Is this meds stronger then perks ?the generic kind? ## Hi yvette, The pill you're describing marked "223" reportedly contains 5mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride. But by comparison, Percocet is known to come in dosages containing up to 10mg of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mg of Acetaminophen. And even though some manufacturers tend to vary by strength, I would say that it all depends on what dosage of Percocet you get, since it is available in 2.5mg/325mg dosages as well. It is a capsule and half is white and the other half is a tan color. If anybody has an image or can tell me what it is I would greatly appreciate it! ## Are there any markings on the capsule? So does this make it a roxicodone or oxycodone tablet? what does a 10mg roxy look like? ## There is no Roxicodone, which would be the regular release formulation of Oxycodone, in a 10mg tablet. Roxicodone is only available in 5, 15 or 30mg tablets. I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons, but I can give you some descriptions and markings. There is a 10mg Oxycontin tablet, that should have the marking of OP on one side and 10 on the other, the other tablets had OC on on side and 10 on the other and they are both white. As to Roxicodone markings, the 5mg is a round, white tablet and one side it has 54 over 582, the 30mg is round, blue and one one side has 54 over 199 and the 15mg is green, round and has 54 over 710 on one side. Hello everyone. I'm a 30 year old male who suffers from degenerative disc disease in my cervical spine. And sever pain in shoulders down to my hands. The pain in my shoulders and hands are from nerve damage from the DDD. I have Been under pain management for about 2 1/2 years through my PCP I started off with Norco 10mg for about 3 months with absolutely no help. My PCP then put me on percocet 10/325 90 count 3 times a day. And soma 350mg 3 times a day. I hated the soma they made me feel drunk. I continued this treatment for about a year. I then complained about the number of pills I was taking and asked to be put on something I could take 3-4 times a day for relief and to take me off the percocet and soma. He then prescribed me roxicodone 30mg 4 times a day. And it has worked wonde...

My doctor currently gives me roxicodone 30mg #360, Opana IR 10mg #180, Soma 350mg #120, and Xanax 2mg #90....the only problem now seems to be finding pharmacies willing to fill the oxy's. Hello. I am going to my 1st appointment to a Dr. That prescribes Suboxone to try to get my life under control. I have been taking just about any pain killer pill I can get my hands on for about 6 or 7 years now, mostly hydros, roxis and oxys. I have been seeing a Doctor for pain management and now I am in Naples Fl. and want to find a Dr, who will keep me on the same prescriptions I have been on for last 4 years!
