i found a small round white pill with a number 8 on one side and a line across the other side in my sisters bathroom. it is suppose to be a dilaudid. but i dont think it is, can anyone tell me if it is? ## No, I didn't find a listing for a Dilaudid tablet, or the generic equivalent Hydromorphone that has just an 8 on it. There are several with an 8 as part of the imprint, but there are also other letters, numbers and/or a logo. Learn more Dilaudid details here. How small is it? Would you say it's similar to an Aspirin tablet, or maybe smaller like a birth control pill? ## I've seen Dilaudid that come in 2mg, 4mg, or 8mg. On one side it has the #4 (for four mg) or like you said the number 8 for 8mg. They are very small, round with a beveled edge. There are numbers on the back...

Found a round white pill with inscription Ry on it. No other markings. What is it? ## Hi Lou, Does the letter "R" on your pill look anything like the Actavis "R" logo that's sorta shaped like a bow tie on one end? I suppose it could even resemble part of the letter Y sticking out like this ">R" but with more of a downward facing angle to it. I could be wrong in assuming the following, but to my knowledge Actavis hasn't produced any pills that only have a logo and no numbers... But this >R logo by Actavis just so happens to be the only thing I found that comes close to your description when I run a search. Whereabouts did you find it at? Does anyone else have thoughts as to what this might be? ## I purchased some generic CVS pills to treat my yeast...

I provided a picture below of what I'm referring to. Also are you sure that there are no other markings on the pill other than the score and the letter M? Perhaps some letters or numbers above the score? If the pill is what I think it is and has no other markings it is...

I found a white round pill with the scoring on one side and blank on the other with no scoring or numbers. What is this pill? I found it in my daughter's room. ## One thing we can rule out right off the bat is that this is not a USA, FDA-approved prescription drug since they are required by law to have an imprint (containing either numbers or letters or both) for identification. The scoreline is simply there for dividing a pill in half and has nothing to do with the actual FDA-required imprint itself. This leaves over-the-counter medication, dietary supplements, foreign drugs and counterfeit or illicit drugs as the remaining possibilities. However, from my perspective the only viable way to identify a pill with no imprint is to have its contents analyzed by a lab and/or drug panel.

I have this pill with the number 027 on one side and the letter M on the other side. What kind of pill is this? ## What makes you think that this pill is Xanax? Where did it come from? ## @keke, I did noticed that there's a white round pill marked with 027 R, which is reportedly identified as generic Alprazolam 0.25mg - A product of Actavis. Perhaps you meant to type "R" instead of "M"? If that's not the case, I'd probably suspect that this is a counterfeit depending on where/who it was obtained from... For verification, the 027 is on one side of the pill (sitting above a horizontal score line), and a fancy "R" is on the back. Hope this helps! ## Everything on the Internet points to Alprazolam. pills r white...no numbers letters or scores...bottle brown glass 1-1 1\2 inches long white metal lid but too worn to tell what was once there ## Hello, Jen! How are you? From what you've said, I get the impression that they are quite old and with no markings or identifying label, it's going to be difficult to determine what they contain. Years ago, many patent medications were packaged like this, which makes it difficult to even guess if it was a prescription or over the counter product. Does anyone else recognize these? I've been taking mirtazapine for years and it's always worked for me. The last time I got it refilled I got a different looking pill, and I don't think it's working. This one is a white capsule-shaped pill with the letter A on one side and the number 10 on the other. The label says Aurolife is the manufacturer. The pills I used to get were round white pills. Could I have gotten the wrong pill? Is it possible that this manufacturer's version just doesn't work for me? ## A tablet with that description and marking does contain 45mgs of Mitrazapine. However, there can be some differences in generic medications. The FDA does allow them to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredient.
