Round Brown Pill With On One Side Nothing Other

I found a round brown pill in my kids room with only the number 57 nothing else and can't find anything like it online. ## It might be a good idea to take the pill over to your local Walgreens/CVS and see if they have anyway of analyzing the contents. I haven't been able to find anything like it here either. This has me wondering if it may be some kind of illicit substance or party drug - but how old is your kid? I guess that would provide a clue as I seriously doubt a child would have narcotics in their room - A teenager on the other hand is a different story. this pill is goldish brown with no numbers or writing on either side. Would it be possible to look this up anyway? I found it in my little brothers room, I have to find out what it is please!!! ## Okay, relax and don't panic. Without markings, it may be difficult to identify, but I will certainly try. We can rule it out as being a prescription medication, because they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. I found a beige or possibly tan / cream colored pill. It is round, film-coated, and has the number 40 printed on it (not imprinted). The "40" looks like brownish ink. Nothing else on the pill. It's round redish brown with a l on one side and nothing else. ## Hi John, I'm just wondering, is this a lower case "L" you're describing or is it a score line that divides the pill into two sections? If it is a score line, there are a few different tablets that share a similar description. But on the other hand since the imprint is so vague, I'm not sure if you could necessarily narrow it down to a single search result without also having it's contents analyzed by a lab or drug panel. Whereabouts did you get it from?

I came across a strange pill and I've been trying to figure out what it is for an hour now. It's small, about the size of a Motrin. It's colour is tan-ish / very light brown. One side is completely smooth with no imprints but the other side has a split and 001 on it. I'm positive it's 001 and not 100 because the 1 has the little "tophat". I also tried searching a several different variations of the imprint (M 59, M 53, M 52, etc); but no luck. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. The pharmacy gave it as a substitute for methylphenidate 27 mg. An M or W on one side, nothing on the other side. ## A dark maroon/brown pill med in size, on one side it has either a W or M, both look capital size(block?). Has nothing on the other side, it's smooth. ## There is nothing that matches this description with just an M on it listed in the U.S. prescription drug databases. With nothing else to the imprint, it makes me suspect that this is an over the counter item.
