my mom suffering for high cholesterol level how can we reduced cholesterol ? please help us ## I was just a low borderline case of cholestrol and is taking rose day 10 mg once a day and now the lipid profile report is excellent can I stop taking it now ## This medication is used to help lower cholesterol and it should not be stopped, unless your medical provider approves. It should be taken with your meal, while your eating, otherwise it may irritate your stomach and cause nausea, as reported by the U.S. FDA. I am taking 10mg roseday tabs for the past 6months one every morning, does this tab make a male impotent ## Roseday contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin and it is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol. I have taken daily Eltroxin 75 and my HDL level is very low 25 other component of lipid profile are normal and my I am a Patient of High BP after taking daily Concor 7.5 my BP stil maintain 145/90 reading.Now I take roseday F10 my age is 35.Prescribed medicine is perfect for me ? But there is serious ayurvedic medicines for it: 1. Safi by humdard 2. Cardiwin by vedhnath 3. Haridya vati by ramdev 4. Or simply get arjur chaall and boil it drink it 5. Stop oily food, sugar, non veg, black tea and coffee 6. Eat 50 gm of chukander beetroot everyday 7. Drink neem juice 30 gm and 3-5 leaves of neem tree alternate days 8. Taking OLI max AM tablete for blood pressure alongwith Roseday 5. Also take Diabetes tablet . Feel Many times getting up in Night for urination though reading of blood Pressure/Sugar/ and Cholestrol are normal. Sometimes have to get up 6 to seven times during night for urination causing disturbance in sleep . Please advise the side effects of Roseday 5 . ## In Fact I was expecting reply . I am to take Roseday 5 mg to lower my LDL cholesterol level 119 mg/dl. My HDL is 29 mg/dl & Uric acid is 7.6 mg/dl. I am taking Roseday-10 daily (1 tablet at night) as prescribed for 1 month. My triglyceride level was 250 at the time of prescription. Now having severe muscle pain in lower part of body and swelling. Seems it's a side effect of Roseday. Should I continue with it or not? ## You should consult your doctor, as rather than just stopping, it would be better to try a different medication. Although, as reported by the NIH, the symptoms you've listed can be normal side effects of this class of medications. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, and headache.
