Thank you so much for your help. ## HI, though they have different ingredients, you would essentially still be doubling up on the same types of medications, so no you most likely shouldn't take them both, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Getting too much could cause some problems, such as worsening of the side effects. Additionally, since the Phenylephrine can act like a stimulant, adding it with the Dextromethorphan and the Guaifenesin that cause the opposite effect could be very detrimental. I feel I have a glue-like phlegm stuck in my throat for weeks already. I as advised to take antihistamine after which I had dry mouth. I as browsing the internet when I came across blog posts regarding the efficacy of robitussin to cases such as mine. I want to try it but am afraid it would interact with the PPI (omepron for my hyperacidity) whih I am taking. Pls advice. ## The Robitussin LiquiGels contain Dextromethorphan and there are no interactions listed between it and the Omeprazole in the Omepron, however, you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. Can you take robitussin and bromfed together? My 9 yr old has a cough that won't stop.....even after taking bromfed. ## How is your soon doing? Has there been any change? It would be best not to add more medications, without his doctor's approval, especially since he is so young. Additionally, Bromfed is an antihistamine that is used to treat allergies, according to the FDA, so it will not do anything to help alleviate a cough.

after taking Robitussin, my wife had a reaction with systemic urticaria. Her only known allergy or sensitivity is to sulfa medications. I can't find any sulfa in Robitussin. If you were to research this in the articles provided by the NIH, you would see that they warn about it being a possibility. When someone is allergic to one medication, or class of medications, it is common to find more that they also cause them to suffer allergic reactions. I developed a cough/sneeze and want to know if I can take Amoxicillin (500mg) and Robitussin DM together? ## What are the specific ingredients of the Robitussin that you are taking? Can you please post back and clarify? I'm sorry, but I need this information in order to accurately answer your question. Can taking Robitussin cough syrup 4x a day turn your urine red? All of a sudden my urine has turned red almost looking like blood. ## That is not a common side effects, as listed by the FDA.
