Can this medication make your red blood cell count high? ## Lisinopril is what I'm on. I had to look up the side effects since I'm sensitive to medication. It's an ACE inhibitor. It can make you dizzy, headaches, increase your potassium levels (WebMD says don't take a potassium supplement if you're taking Lisinopril.) You can have abnormally low blood pressure, decreased blood platelets, decreased function of the bone marrow. Decreased neutrophils (a type of white blood cell), deficiency of granulocytes - a type of white blood cell. I'd suggest doing a Google search to see what you can find. I've noticed you can't find the information you need all in one place. Good luck! ## No, that is not listed as known side effects. In addition to what Nikki has alrea...

Please comment if you pertenant info ! ## red blood cells are very large ## Extra large red blood cells ## I'm sure it's from their shots never in my life have I has this ## If they are unable to find any medical reason, then there is likely nothing to worry about. Usually, Macrocytic Anemia is caused by a deficiency in vitamin B12, and Folate. Left untreated such an issue can cause medical problems, such as heart failure, and circulatory issues. However, there are always some people whose bodies are different, and something seen as unusual for others, is normal for them, which is why in medicine, we never swear that anything applies 100% to everyone. For example, I have a fri...

## can taking iron pills when you already have enough iron in your system result in being tired and sleepy throughout the day.I only take one pill a day ## Peggy you should not be taking iron if you don't need it it could cause problems. Lynne ## Lynne is correct, if you aren't low in iron and have no need to take them, you should not do so, because it could cause liver damage, and possibly liver failure, according to FDA warnings. There is a liver disease that results when someone's body can't process iron out of their body, it is called Hemochromatosis, it can be managed, but often results in death, if it is not controlled. Taking too much iron can cause a very similar condition. Thus, if you are feeling tired and sleep throughout the day, it would be best to consult y...

My doctor has approved a drop from 2000/day to 1000/day and I am experiencing a fogginess and lack of pep. I use it with prednesone for myasthenia gravis. Has anyone had adverse issues when using a lower dose of cellcept? Bob ## It is completely normal to experience withdrawal type symptoms any time you lower the dosage of a medication, or stop taking it. It occurs because your body was used to the previous dosage you were taking. Have the symptoms tapered of by now? This should happen, once your body adjusts to the new lower dosage.

My mother suffers from osteoporosis, arthritis and fluid in the legs. She is now housebound but her legs have been red and sore for about two years. We have just been told she has celluitis and she is on all kinds of drugs for her other conditions including morphine. They have recently gave her antibiotics but she's had reactions with them. However, every time doctors have been out to see her and the acute care team, they have always commented on her legs. But they haven't done anything about it. Now I have read this can be fatal if left untreated. She has just been admitted into hospital because of how she was feeling. What can I do about this when one doctor is saying she can't get infection in her legs and the other one is saying different ## Hello, Paul! How are you? Wha...

I have some sort of infection on my left elbow. I have been on bactrim for 36 hours and the redness and swelling have went 4 to 6 inches further than it was. How long will bactrim take to decrease the swelling and redness? ## The general rule for antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't see any worsening after taking them for a full 24 hours, and you should start to see improvement after taking them for a full 72 hours, according to NIH reports. Thus, if this is continuing, you should return to your doctor, as you may need to try a different antibiotic. The FDA lists the typical side effects of most antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. Has there been any change?

I have been on 80 mg off propanolol for about 10 years now. Works great for migraine control but I have Reynards as side effect. Main worry is after blood test due to palpitations ( atopic and not a worry but possibly due to propanolol I think) I have low red blood cell number and platelets. They are about to start testing me for MDS ..basically bone marrow failure. I am very young for this apparently, only 45 whereas most are over 70 and I don't feel too unwell. I read propanolol can cause blood cell issues very rarely. Anyone has experience? I have opened up my slow release capsule and removed a quarter of the beads. I am cutting down rather than face a bone marrow biopsy in a months time of levels are any worse. Any thoughts guys? ## Hello, PennyJane! How are you? While Propranol...
