these were prescribed for my Dad about 25 years ago and was just wondering what they were called ## I have done more checking on this and I think it may hae been Dalmane but still not quite certain keep me posted thank you ## It's almost impossible to say from just the description and color, very sorry.

It says Barr 302 50 Half red, the other half is 75% grayish and 25% yellowish ## This contains 50mgs of Hydroxyzine, which is an antihistamine that has quite a few medical uses, including treating allergic reactions, preventing nausea and being used for its sedative like effects. Trying to identify a capsule that is yellow on one end and red on the other. black and red capsule pill with yellow band, with no other markings. What is it? ## Hi Pheonix, Based on your description, this could be anything from an OTC dietary supplement to something illicit. Unfortunately because there are no markings, the best thing I can suggest is to either have the capsules analyzed by a lab and/or utilize a drug panel kit to see if it contains any illicit drugs. Were you given this by someone at a party or did you find it in a medicine cabinet, etc? Maybe its origin can help rule out a few unlikely suspects or at least narrow down our search efforts in some way. Does anyone else here recognize this?

Red and yellow capsule - NO imprint at all. Maybe an antibiotic or Cipro...... ## I don't think this pill was manufactured in the U.S., as it has no letter or number imprints. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have unique letters or numbers (sometimes in addition to a logo of some kind) imprinted on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there could be many, many pills on the market, both over the counter or prescription that could meet that physical description. Unless you obtained this pill on the street, the only other thing I can suggest is that you try asking your local doctor or pharmacist for more information.

found some large capsules that are solid in color. blue, yellow, red, orange, and white. All contained in a small clear plastic package. Wondering what this may be. Thanks for hte help ## Are there any markings of any type on them? Letters, numbers or logos? The colors don't actually mean anything and if there are no markings, then there are a couple likely possibilities. The first would be that someone just purchased empty capsules for their own personal use, some people do create their own supplements or medications. A yellow and blue capsule with CP in red on the blue portion and 279 in red on the yellow portion of the capsule. ## I believe this a generic brand med used headaches and migraines. Fiorinal with codeine. Also known as ascomp with codeine ## Ascomp is the worst! In my area that is all the pharmacies were dispensing and so I was forced to take that. I finally found a pharmacy that has Lannet Brand, Fiorinal and Codeine. It is generic but it is the best. It is a yellow and blue capsule.
