I took 2 year injections of Forteo and now the DR. wants me to begin this. I need to know as much as possible about this drug ## Here's a link to the monograph with more information: I also hunted you up a few more links with information: Click Here Reclast Website ## I too have to take the injections every day for two years. They claim this will REBUILD my bones, and this is what I need. It is suppose to reverse bone loss and damage. I am on my 3rd month. It does not hurt if you put it in your thigh. What is the allowable payment by Medicare for a15 minute reclast infusion at an outpatient hospital center. My HMO was charged $7000 for the drug and paid 80% leaving a charge to me of 20%. My local pharmacy charges $1200 for a prescription so my question is why the vast difference in price. ## I don't have any information on what the Medicare allowable payment for it is, but I can explain the different in price from the pharmacy to the hospital. I have done Forteo, Prolia and now my doctor wants me to do Reclasp. I am 75 years old, haven't had any fractures I am aware of. Forteo caused more pain than usual, Prolia caused hair loss and the texture of my hair changed. The hair loss I mean bald spots. I have put off the Reclasp my doctor is wanting me to do, more poison going into my body and I don't feel any better. At my age, I have enough aches and pain without medication making me feel worse. ANYONE have anything positive to say about this drug. ## Unfortunately, I haven't read any posts from anyone that's had good experiences with Reclast, or most of the other medications that you've listed. They are all known to cause side effects, such as nausea, diarrhea, joint aches, bone pain, and elevated calcium lev...
