I have been taking Ranbaxy Lorazapam for more than 10 years. Now that is no longer available I have tried Watson & Qualitest manufacturers. I am having severe muscle tightening, headaches and loud ringing in my ears. Can someone please suggest something similar to the Ranbaxy? Even if it is another similar generic drug? I was taking Ranbaxy for almost 3 years and was just fine. No anxiety and no side effects. Then about a month and a half ago I started getting anxiety. Found out CVS changed to Mylan brand. I found I could get one more month's supply of Ranbaxy but at the two mg strength. Was a problem with dosage amount because I had to quarter the tablets. They cut in half nicely but the quartering was always unequal. I read this board and knew to stay away from Mylan, Watson and Santos (sp?) So I called around to the mom and pop pharmacies and found one that carried Excellium. I had read very little about Excellium on the forum but the pharmacist said he had been selling it for 10 years and never had a complaint. I Want To Know Why it is given? Whether it is given to prevent infection or is it a painkiller? ## I did some searching and even though this isn't listed in the US drug datbases under this name, I did find out that it is Cephalexin 500mgs, which means it is an antibiotic. According to today's NY Times, Lipitor generic by manufacturer Ranbaxy was recalled in November because of possible glass particles. Recall applied only to pharmacies, and consumers who already had the contaminated pills were advised to continue taking them unless a doctor advised against it. I'm barely able to write this. Pain meds not working last couple of days. One change is I want to use up some old pills made by Ranbaxy. Might be this be my problem? Is Ranbaxy Valacyclovir gluten free ? ## Hello, Based on my research, Ranbaxy Pharmaceutical's version of Valacyclovir hydrochloride does NOT list gluten as an ingredient. From what I could gather, each film-coated tablet contains the following list of inactive ingredients: crospovidone, FD&C blue #2/indigo carmine aluminum lake, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol 400, polyethylene glycol 6000, polysorbate 80, povidone, and titanium dioxide. I found out Lorazepam 1mg made by Ranbaxy is not sold any more. Is it available in mexico? And will it come back? ## Hi Liza, From what I've researched, generic Lorazepam by Ranbaxy is not listed as being available in Mexico. However I did stumble upon a couple brand names that are: Lozam and Sinestron. Perhaps either of those would make for a suitable alternative? I have not tried Lorazepam myself so this is only speculation. Apparently the FDA has also had several restrictions placed on Ranbaxy's products (within the last year that are still in effect), preventing them from importing drugs from their overseas facilities into the US. This does create the possibility of developing antibiotic resistance. Therefore, you should see your doctor for a new prescription. Hello everybody. I have been taking generic Adderall (20mg XR) for about a month and had a generally good response. My doctor also wanted me to try the immediate release tablet because, sometimes, I prefer a short acting effect only in the morning. I filled my prescription at Boston Medical pharmacy. When I tried it the next day in the morning (half of a 20mg tablet) I started feeling unwell after about 40 minutes. There was no therapeutic effect at all (like the XR which was by a different maker), just nasty side effect like nausea, tremor, tingling, dizziness, a tight feeling in the chest and general malaise or weakness; symptoms I never had with the XR.
