Does anyone taking rabeprazole have side effects such as very low back pain and pain in legs....like a real bad constant ache? I have only been on this med for 5 days. Thank you. ## Hello, Sylbona! I am 60 years old. I was diagnosed with "GERD" 3 years ago for which I was prescribed rabeprazole sodium and domperidone formulation - 1 capsule daily. I have been using the medicine since then without any side effects. Short time discontinuance, 3-4 days, has no adverse effect. However, discontinuance beyond that the diagnosed problems resurface all over again. Is it OK to continue taking this medicine kind of lifelong? My last medical exam about 6 months has been normal.
