Sir my wife is having typhoid fever as widal test found positive and doctor prescribe Cubab-D which contains Rabeprazole 20 mg and domperidone 10 mg 1 tab daily before breakfast. after taking this medicine she feels giddiness, drowsiness and abdominal pain. so I stop this medicine . Now please tell me can she take tab. ranitidine 150mg.

I am 60 years old. I was diagnosed with "GERD" 3 years ago for which I was prescribed rabeprazole sodium and domperidone formulation - 1 capsule daily. I have been using the medicine since then without any side effects. Short time discontinuance, 3-4 days, has no adverse effect. However, discontinuance beyond that the diagnosed problems resurface all over again. Is it OK to continue taking this medicine kind of lifelong? My last medical exam about 6 months has been normal. My endoscopy revealed that I have ulcer.Uvulva:Bifid Uvulva, Stomoch:Antral Gastritis, Dudenum:Grade I Dudnenitis. Is Rabonik Plus useful in treating chronic constipation? ## Rabonik DSR contains Rabeprazole and Domperidone, while the Rabonik Plus still contains the Rabeprazole, though I haven't been able to find anything listing what else it contains. However, the Rabeprazole won't necessarily help with constipation, as it is indicated for use in treating peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and excess stomach acid production.
