I have just stated using methotrexate injections for RA after using tablets which gave me mouth ulcers and nausea. Have also used Arava and other RA meds without success . I am also on occasional predisalone as I gain too much weight and am a type 1 diabetic and blood sugars go up considerably. I also take 300mg of plaquenil each day for my arthritis. I would like to know how others are coping with the methotrexate, results and side effects??? ## We are all different, so Methotrexate works great for some people, but not for all, thus, the only way to see if it will help you is by actually trying it according to your doctor's instructions. I was a alcoholic & drug addict from 1980 to 1991. medication was started in 1985 . I was put on tegretol 600 & risnia 10 . Later it was changed to respond 10 &oxetol 600 . other tablets betacab 20 & parking. Before it was morning & night dosages going as high as oxetol 900 . Now i take all tablets at night. Their studies show its effectiveness this way is as good as an injection every day. They take 60 micrograms once a week, or 30 micrograms twice a week. I have taken an hcg injection on 12th day of my period. On 15th day of my period doctor performed ultrasound and suggest me dubagest SR 300 tablet for 10 days...is it safe to take this tablet?? I have had 5 knee surgeries im only 26.... I've had surgery and pain block injections for damage to nerves in my lower spine from a 'spur' - neither helped. Been on painkillers daily for 35 yrs, tried everything and now at best left with 80% pain. Had 100mcg fentanyl patches and their effect lessened so now I'm on 62.5 mcg fentanyl + 3x 300 mg gabapentin + 3x 50 mg tramadol combined daily. Still in agony. Any suggestions to help me please? What is the maximum mcg strength of combined fentanyl patches that can be used together every 72 hours? Thanks.
