White, oval pill. 500 on one side, hourglass and 4435 on other side. My question is: is the the extended release form of Metformin? I'm getting different results, and in past the pills have said XR500. Thanks fo ryour help. ## Yes, since you were obviously already looking at the regular online databases and getting conflicting information, I checked it out in a professional database that I use just so I can answer questions here like this, and yes, it is the extended release version, 500mgs. ## Thanks for that, Vernon. Guess it's just me! D ## LOL! No, not just you, many people have trouble finding the exact information they are seeking on a pill, the internet doesn't make it easy. That is why I am here, and what my job is, to help find the info when someone else has trouble...

B vitamins are a class of water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in cell metabolism and synthesis of red blood cells.[1] Though these vitamins share similar names (B1, B2, B3, etc.), they are chemically distinct compounds that often coexist in the same foods.[1] In general, dietary supplements containing all eight are referred to as a vitamin B complex. Individual B vitamin supplements are referred to by the specific number or name of each vitamin, su...

Please provide some commercial names for pills that have the DBX-13 formula so I can get some. Is it available over the counter or does it require a prescription? My gluocose levels neared 500 today and I have to get off the Metformin. ## Hi Phil, I hate to break the news to you, but DBX-13 is a scam. Please have a look at the following discussion threads to see what others are saying about it: Discuss/DBX-13-scam-261559.htm Discuss/dbx-13-251946.htm Having said that, finding an alternative to something like DBX-13 that isn't what it's made out to be, can prove rather difficult. Personally, I'd encourage you to research dietary/exercise recommendations for those battling diabetes as these are two things that are always in our immediate control and don't require anything ...

Arthi D what is in this drug and can natural supplements be used instead of Arthi D drug? ## Arthri D is a natural supplement product, not a medication. It is listed as containing: Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Magnesium, NAG, Chondroitin, Termeric, Rice Flour, Boswella, Ashwagandha, Bromelain, Evening Primrose Oil, Green Lipped Muscle and Hyaluronic Acid. This, of course, also means that it isn't actually proven to help with anything. Are there any other questions? ## I have osteoporosis and osteopenia. I can't stand for long as it makes my body aches. At times, my legs get stiff and couldn't walk but that is only for a minute or so. Just got my Metformin ER 750 refilled. The pills look different... could be different manufacturer? One has 93 on one side and 7212 on the other. The other has 143 stamped on one side and nothing I can see on the other side. Help? ## Yes, they are both the same medication, a controlled release formulation of Metformin in a 750mg dosage. The one with the 93 is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and the 143 is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals. It is common for the pharmacy to switch which generic they supply, depending on which company was offering the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. It's how they keep their prices as low as possible for customers without insurance. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was prescribed with CLOPIDOGREL -PLAGERINE 7...

what is the osm type of metformin er can't find anything on it and my NP can't either except it costs very much ## OSM is used to designate it as being osmotic, it's used to make sure that you get a maximum extended/time released formulation of the medication. That's why it costs more, it's not a typical generic, because it doesn't have the usual leeway that they are allowed to have, it is tested more rigorously and adheres to much stricter release requirements. Is there anything else I can help with?

i started taking metformin SR in may 12, replacing the IR tablets, having suffered for years with side affects for years. in june when i had my next blood test my platelet count was down to 1300, haveing been normal previously, it seems strange that on taking the slow release tabs i have platelet reduction, can the slow release tablets be having an effect on my platelets. any one able to help please. ## Yes, it may be due to the Metformin, though it likely would have happened regardless of which formulation you were taking, since it has been known to cause it in some people that take it. Learn more Metformin details here. It could even just be that the current dosage is too hight for you, because that can also be an overdose symptom. What have you been advised?
