oval, white, pain ## just found this pill loose in the house. Need to know what it's for ## Just wanted to know what the pill is and what it's used for. ## I've been taking Zanaflex 4mg as a spinal muscle relaxant. I just started taking the tablets with the R180 imprint and not 100% sure its the same as the circular zanaflex. Its for spinal cord injuries or multiple sclerosis ## Pill Image This pill, R 180, is Tizanidine 4mg, a generic version of the muscle relaxant Zanaflex. ## And to the original poster of this topic, this is not a pain pill, as I said it is a muscle relaxant, so if you have muscle spasms, tension, or muscle injury that is causing pain, it can help, but it is not a direct pain reliever and will not help with other pain problems. It has no analgesic qualiti...

Round orange pill one side, other side no writing ## i got what was supposed to be generic meridia and it has always been capsule form and now it is 10mg small orange (called sunset yellow but looks orange) no writing but there is kind of an octagone around the edges on one side. I am concerned this might not be what i was told ## If there are no markings, then it is not a legal U.S. prescription drug and there is no way to be certain what it is.

I know that the tablet must not be split, but it is too much for me, and I split it in 2 pieces and take one half every evening, combined with another medicine for HT which I use in the morning. What may cause the fact that I split the film coated tablet please? As far as I know, there is no lower dosage for this medicine. And if I use one whole tablet every evening, than my tension is getting too low. Please advise

My dad just started taking the DiltiazemER180 MG. His heart rate has been running near 130. His doctor has told him to start taking the 240 mg. My question is if he goes to a higher dose, will that increase his heart rate more or is it possible let that it will slow it down? I'm not a doctor but I don't understand how upping the dosage will help. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. ## Hello, Rhonda! How are you? This medication has been known to cause elevated heart rate as a side effect, but most side effects are transient and wear off, as someone's body gets used to the medication. As listed by the FDA, he may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and orthostatic hypotension. Once his body adjusts, in theory his heart rate should lower, as ...

i need to know how long the side effects last.i have tryed several times to stop went 14 days gave up could not take it went got more i NEED HELP PLEASE ## You mean you took 180 tablets in a week? If so, you may be past side effects and into permanent organ damage, so you need to seek medical attention. Even the lowest dosage of these contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen in each tablet, along with the narcotic Hydrocodone and that comes out to 58,500mgs in a week and it is considered toxic at anything over 4,000mgs in a day, which would be only 28,000mgs in a week. You may have done permanent liver damage and need to speak to a doctor. ## dont have insurance so cant get to deep do not send a reply dont want wife to know thanks

The pill has two shades of blue. On one half of the pill it has the letter "n" and on the other side it has the numbers "180". It's one of those pills that you break in half and pour out some powder or something. Do you have any idea what it is?

What time of day should I take it? With or without food? ## What has your doctor advised? Normally, they want to take these types of medications in the morning, so it is in your system and working during the peak times of day that you are most active and your BP or heart issues may experience the most fluctuations. It can be taken with, or without food, so you can decide that for yourself, unless your doctor has given you specific instructions. It can cause some nausea, so some people find it better if they take it with food, to help minimize that.

I am currently taking diltiazem dt 360 mg once a day and I would like to switch to diltiazem 24 hr er 180 mg twice a day because it is a lot cheaper. I don't know the difference between tr and er. some people say that there is not difference and others say that there is. ## Hello, Buddy! How are you? No, they are both time released, so there is no difference. However, you'll need to check with your doctor, before switching. Are there any other questions or concerns?

DO SIDE EFFECTS INCLUDE COUGHING? ## Hi John, Yes, coughing is listed as a normal side effect of Diltiazem. Referenced from: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a684027.html#side-effects Did you have any other questions or concerns about this drug? Please post back if you do. ## Thanks David. I Figured coughing was a side affect. I asked my doctor about it because I had the same problem with Micardis. He didn't want to believe that was the cause. Hopefully, I can get a different perscription.

Hello, I am taking the 180 and about to run out, and have some 240 mgs left. Can i take them until my 180s get filled? Would there be any problems? They are the same except the dosage. ## Hello, Donald! How are you? It would be best not to raise your dosage, without your doctor's approval. Taking a higher dose could result in your experienced nausea, dizziness, lowered blood pressure and lowered heart rate, as reported by the FDA, which may put your life in danger. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Use a good pill cutter. Cut them in half. ## That's probably not a good idea since "ER" means "Extended Release" - they are likely coated to be time released and if you cut them in half, the dosage would take effect too much at one time. If the tablets don...
