Is the yellow dye in the Qualitest hydrocodone tablets tartrazine, aka FD & C yellow # 5? Many people, myself included, are highly sensitive to this dye. Lots of manufacturers still use it, for unknown reasons. But some have switched to an iron compound for the yellow color (who needs it?!). I have spent much time online trying to get this info, to no avail. If anyone knows, your response would be greatly appreciated! ## Hello, Bluecat! How are you? Actually, it is listed as being FD&C yellow #6. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My son-in-law takes the yellow Norcos. Then one day, he picked up his meds ...

Don't ever get that ActaVas brand Norco 10 325 white tabs they do not work I had half yellow half white last prescription big difference with the yellow ones no doubt I did my own experiment The yellow has a V on them I'm not sure what brand they are but they work much better then the Actavis ## Hi- yeah I've been taking the generic ones ( Hydrocodone), and they seem to wear off within 3 hrs. I've been searching on Google for answers and was wondering if you or anyone else knows if they contain sulfites. I get allergic reactions to sulfites and I know these could have them in the inactive ingredients. Thx. ## @Dash, The yellow one's with a V 36 01 are made by Qualitest (formerly Vintage Pharmaceuticals). From what I've heard, these yellow ones are thought to be o...

I've been on pain management for many years due to chronic pain from degenerative arthritis and fibromyalgia. Taking 10/325 Qualitest/Par that worked for pain with no side effects. Helping to live a quality life. Last month I was given Lupin white 10/325. Terrible side effects. Borderline migraines, anxiety, tightness, little pain relief, lack of hunger and crying in pain in the night. Called many pharmacies to try and find the yellow Norco meds that work, no luck. Called Qualitest/Par to find a local pharmacy that carries them. Qualitest no longer manufactures hydrocodone products!! Does ANYONE have any med change options I can discuss with my doctor? He is aware of what is going on. ## Good luck finding anything these days due to the so called opioid crisis! My husband and I have ...

I have been prescribed Qualitest yellow 10/325 Norco for over a year now for my Fibromyalgia and only take one pill at night which has helped my pain level tremendously. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that has worked for me as I have tried a few others they just upset my stomach and give me headaches. I just recently picked up my new prescription and something is VERY wrong with this new prescription. Normally I don't have any side effects but this batch, my stomach hurts when I take them and they just give me a massive headache. I have absolutely no pain relief like I always have in the past. I'm thinking they may have changed the inactive ingredients. Does anyone have an ideas on how to find out if they have changed something in their formulation? I am not crazy here, some...

I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest. My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP. I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them. What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand? ## Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet. On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability. I haven't taken the Amneal bran...

I have been taking Hydrocodone-Acetominophen 7.5-325 for years for degenerative disks in my back. The generic Aurobindo tablets don't work for me and make me nauseated. Applause go to: Mallinckrodt. Mallinckrodt manufactures that same prescription (white pill M366) and they are the only ones I have found that actually work with no unpleasant side effects. I really wish my pharmacy hadn't switched manufacturers. I am extremly disappointed in Aurobindo generic for Norco. The other one that didn't work was orange with a V on one side and 36|05 on the other, manufactured by Qualitest. It was garbage, just like the Aurobindo. ## I've probably just read 50 reviews on Hydrocodone 10-325's & you're the first person that actually has something good to say about Mallin...

Qualitest seems best, then Watson......don't know whats in between, but Malli are no good ## I take Hydrocodone10-325 Norco every 6 hrs for cervical disk pain along with soma 325 x3 a day. Had 2 major surgeries on neck, each one damaging another disk. Sometimes the medication works, sometimes it doesn't. Am at a loss at what options are for pain control anymore. ## @Jimmy, I second your opinion on Qualitest being one of the more sought after versions of Hydrocodone/APAP, due to what I would imagine to be a higher level of potency. My dad has been taking this brand for a while and says it makes other manufacturers seem like a placebo effect in comparison. I don't know if it's the binders/fillers that other manufacturers use or if they really are adding less active ingredi...

I’m SUPER conserned because my pharmacy has switched from the yellow Qualitest Norco to 2 different brands I must choose from: Tris Pharma & Lupin Pharma. They are 10/325 Norco. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, fibromyalgia, back surgeries in past and I’m told in future. I can’t stand the idea of being in pain all month. Any advise on which brand to get? I have been given the white Watson brand and the other white ones that say M367 (I think it’s a 7 at the end) they were 10/325 non the less. The Watson brand was ok but the M367 was like taking nothing sometimes. Please help me decide. Those are the only brands I can find. I am so afraid I’ll be in pain all month like I was with the M367 and Watson brands. ## The only way to really find out is by trying one...

For some 6-8+ years now, i have been taking 7.5/325 Hydrocodone (HYDROCO/APAP); generic name Qualitest. The pill is colored (pinkish/orange) with a "v" inscribed on one side; not 100% sure of Manufacturer; possibly NORCO or PAR P.; Qualitest has ALWAYS been the most reliable version of Vicodin/Hydrocodone. At any rate, much to my surprise several months ago, i had a script filled but when i opened vial, it was filled with WHITE (Watson) tablets; i was told that Qualitest was no longer available. The next morning (basically every morning) i awakened with a significant amount of pain and got myself up to take my normal/regular dose but after more than enough time for what would have relieved the pain; i felt NO relief whatsoever; after a second pill, i started to feel nauseous and...

Watson 10/325 yellow Norco has worked for 13 years - the white tablets I fillled are not helping WHATSOEVER. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, carpet tunnel in both wrists,3 herniated discs, 2 bulging discs and 3 fuses discs in my neck among a few problems. This is horrible - between this & the Qualitest bad pills that made me sick last month along with NO pain relief my Dr. is saying he is going out on a limb for me - no one is going out on a limb - we are simply standing up and stating obvious fraudulent pills being sold as pain relief when there is NONE. This is so horrible to live in pain and be afraid to call your Dr. again and tell them this has happened again now with a different brand that previoulsy worked before they "took out the yellow dye". I usually get the yellow V 36 01 when I fill my 10mg Norco. This time they gave me white V 36 09. ## Hi debra, The V 36 09 white pill is a new version made by Qualitest that only recently came out on the market; which is why information seems scarce at the moment. However other patients here have also confirmed this in the following discussion thread: Discuss/hydrocodone-yellowwith-v-on-one-and-3609-on-the-other-what-dose-208024.htm It reportedly contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone + 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Though I'm not sure if it's brand name Norco or generic. You could try contacting the manufacturer for more specific details if need be. I hope this helps! ## it is generic norco . made my hand swell, and I was very irritable . Horrible feeling

Qualist manufacturer has a pill that states it to be a 5/325 the reads reads v 3604. To my knowledge I thought anything with the # 325 in it is usually a norco ## Hello, Reb! How are you? The V doesn't stand for what the tablet contains, that is just the manufacturers logo, so having a V on it does not make it Vicodin. The V stands for Vintage Pharmaceuticals, they were purchased by Qualitest several years ago and there are many pills with the V logo that don't contain narcotics of any type. Additionally, Norco is just a name brand for a certain combination of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone….while it was originally ones that just contained 325mgs of Acetaminophen, with several doses of the Hydrocodone, since it is available as a generic now, they are pretty much all just us...

What is the difference in the white oblong pill with m367 and the yellow with a V and 3601? ## The only difference between these two tablets is that they are manufactured by different companies. The one with the M marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and the one with the V is manufactured by Vintage/Qualitest. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. But both are the same dosage and contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon, Your wrong. The maximum dosage available of it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325ms of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies these medications as being narcotic analgesics. They carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any markings on the one you were taking so I can double check the dosage for you? Thanks! ## yes there is markings they are as fallows yellow in color, oval shaped marked one side with a "v" the other with the numbers 36 01 ## Thank you, Mudd! personally i think, the DEA, is cracking down, i know the doctors are scared their gonna lose their license, where i live they are getting ridiculous about it! there is an epidemic, which in return is ruining it for us folks who really need the stuff to just even feel a little comfort from excrutiating pain, there is even a brand called "qualitest" for God sakes! not positive, but i believe, food and drug adm., are lowering the strength, to get american's off the drug!!!!! ## From what I've seen, Watson does have a yellow and white version of their "853" generic Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone tablets. They list the dosage as still being 325/10 in the newer white ones, however, there have been numerous complaints from patients who have tried both versions, saying tha...

Is the peach oval pill with 36 52 on it the same strength as a yellow watson norco? ## The orange tablet with the V 3605 marking contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, but the yellow name brand Norco tablet contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. I received an RX from my pharmacy for HYDROCODONE - ACETAMINOPHEN, 10/325, Generic for Norco. It says it's "Qualitest". The pill is oval, VERY light yellow, has the number 3601 with a 'break line' between the six and the zero. On the flip side is a "V". Here's my problem. I had some pills left over from a prior script and the tablets looked the same with one exception -- the "V" on the new script is "right side up". In other words, you can roll the pill towards you and if you start out being able to read the numbers "right side up", as you roll the pill -- you will still be able to read the "V" right side up. Where as with the previous scrip, the pill would have to be rolled side-ways in order to read the numbers and the V ...
