qualitest hydrocodone
I take Qualitest 10/500 pink hydrocodone. My pharmacy has told me that Qualitest will no longer be making this. I have tried other 10/500 pills to no avail. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that works on my pain . Does Qualitest offer another size ? ## Hello, Ted! How are you doing? Actually, after the first of the year (2014), none of the manufacturers will be making this dosage, anymore. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can occur with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, as well as the overdose fatalities that have occurred with these medications, the FDA has requested that all combination prescription products be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. qualitest hydrocodone 10 500
i have a severe back problem and go to a pain clinic for pain management. I use Qualitest Hydrocodone 10/500 (pink) for years for break through pain. I know they had to go to 10/325 but what I want to know is do they make the exact same pill except for the acetominaphen part. I have tried the white and I have tried the 10/500 Watson which is not blue but white and they just don't work. I just want the same makeup as the Qualitest that I have taken for years and even if the 2nd part is cut down I could add back a tylenol to it to get that 2nd part. I am not afraid of it I just need some pain relief and the pink ones did it for me and neither white or Watson white, they just don't work. Please help me and lead me in the right direction ## Hello, Louise! How are you? No, I'm so... ...

qualitest hydrocodone 10 325
Although many have said one drug is the same as the other I find that Qualitest hydrocodone 10/325 seems to not affect me as far as making me drowsy and extremely tired. It does so help with the pain but it does not make me so I can not function. The other manufacturer Mallincor (spelling not right) their hydrocodone makes me so tired I have to literally go to bed. Strange I think that if two drugs are identical how can they have different effects to you. I prefer to not take any hydrocodone but until I am through this pain I prefer to take the one that does not comatose me. ## While they contain the same active ingredients, there can be fluctuations in the amount of them that are in generic medications, additionally, the inactive ingredients can be entirely different. Thus, the one fro... ...

qualitest hydrocodone apap 5 325
Is this product Gluten Free? Does the filler formula change depending on when it is manufactured? Is there a risk for cross contamination during the manufacturing of this product or at any other time before the patient fills a prescription? ## I have been allergic to gluten for 15 years now, and I have been taking it for the past 3 years, so I am assuming it is safe or I would have known it, by my throat and tongue swelling up. I don't know about a risk of cross contamination...but so far I have not had any problems. ## Based on my research, each Hydrocodone 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg tablet (from Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized ... ...

hydrocodone apap elx qualitest
had prescribed for broken jaw and need to know exactly what it is ## My son is taking Hydorcodone elx for tonsilectomy and I'm wondering what some side effects may be. He is having trouble eating unless he takes the medicine but I've been giving it to him every 6 hours for 7 days and I'm afraid he'll become addicted. ## APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

mallinckrodt Hydrocodone vs Qualitest
I have been taking Hydrocodone 5-325 s, by mallinckrodt for a few years now for back pain , they work really well, I take 2 at a time . My pharmacist switched to Qualitest and it was a nightmare . I took one of those and had a migraine headache the whole day , along with breathing problems, rash , and nausea , bad stuff . I did some research and manufacture does matter . Found a place that has Mallincroft . ## Hi Ilene, Sorry to hear about your experience with the Qualitest version. I'm glad you were able to find a place that has your preferred manufacturer in stock. If I had to make an assumption based on your description, I'd say the binders and fillers could've been the root cause of such side effects. When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn... ...

hydrocodone peach pill Qualitest manufacturer 7.5 - 325
I was prescribed Vicodin for a dental implant and as given the hydrocodon acetominiphen 7.5-325, and had a reaction to them..It caused itching all over and wheezing. I have taken the name brand with no issues. where can I find out what the ingredients are in this? Could there be gluten in them as I have a gluten problem. ## Hello, Ellen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you had. It is always possible to develop an allergy to something, even if you took it before, without a problem. So, we can't rule out that possibility. As to the inactive ingredients, in the orange/peach oval tablet with the V 3605 marking, they are listed as being: croscarmellose sodium FD&C Red No. 40 FD&C Yellow No. 6 lactose Monohydrate magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone ... ...

yellow dye/tartrazine in qualitest hydrocodone 10 325
Is the yellow dye in the Qualitest hydrocodone tablets tartrazine, aka FD & C yellow # 5? Many people, myself included, are highly sensitive to this dye. Lots of manufacturers still use it, for unknown reasons. But some have switched to an iron compound for the yellow color (who needs it?!). I have spent much time online trying to get this info, to no avail. If anyone knows, your response would be greatly appreciated! ## Hello, Bluecat! How are you? Actually, it is listed as being FD&C yellow #6. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My son-in-law takes the yellow Norcos. Then one day, he picked up his meds ... ...

qualitest hydrocodone acet 10 325 yellow with a v and 36 01
What is the difference between qualitest brand Hydrocodone/Acet 10/325 with a V on one side and 36 01 on the other side of this yellow pill, as opposed to Mallinckrodt white pill with the same strength? The Mallinckrodt pills give me lots of bad side effects and do not help my pain as well as the Qualitest ones do. ## I also got my yellow 10/325's switched to the Mallinckrodt white by RiteAid. I have severe chronic pain and the white ones don't have much effect. How do I find the yellow ones? Thanks Denise ## Dear Qualitest Representatives: Since 2002, when I had a 3-level 360 back fusion I have been taking hydrocodone, and usually the 10/325's, first Watson's then Qualitest which work absolutely the best for my pain. Now the pharmacy has switched to Mallinckro 10/325 Wh... ...

M358 3594Hydrocodone
Started with M358 7.5 Hydrocodone next time I was given pill 3594 and didnt think that it worked as well . I have had it three times now for low back pain and today back to M358. Is it simply the manufacturer? ## Both tablets contain 75mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, but there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one manufacturer to another, so you may just not be getting as much in the ones with the 3594 V marking from Qualitest. hydrocodone 10/325 3604
Is this pill 5 mg or 10mg? And what does the 3604 stand for? ## Hello, Doc! How are you? The white, oblong tablet with the red specks that has the marking 3604 V on it contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And according to law, all manufactured prescription tablets must have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of an emergency, so any given pill can be traced by to a specific manufacturer. That's what the 3604 V is, it's just the code that Vintage/Qualitest has chosen to use on this pill to identify it as their product. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

hydrocodone lorcet m361
What is the difference in the fillers of a white Watson hydrocodone 10/650 and blue qualitest10/650 with imprint m361 ## Hi Jack, From what I can tell, there's not really a big difference in the binders/fillers found in each of those medications. But perhaps enough to warrant a different reaction in some people who may have sensitivities to genetically modified ingredients, such as corn starch. Hopefully the lists below can help give you an idea of what you're actually putting in your body with either medication... The inactive ingredients contained in "M361" (10/650) are: crospovidone magnesium stearate cellulose microcrystalline povidones starch corn silicon dioxide stearic acid The inactive ingredients contained in "Watson 503" (10/650) are: anhydrous lactose ... ...

Mallinckro 10 325 Hydrocodone
is Mallinckro m367 10-325 the same as Qualitest 3601-10/325 ?? ## Both of the pills in question are one in the same drug. The only difference is that they are manufactured by different companies. Additionally, there may be a slight variation of inactive ingredients; but other than that you can be assured that they are the same drug and same dosage. When you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may agree with one medication over the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects pr... ...

hydrocodone different or same???
Is (1) hydrocodone-acetaminophen soln 7.5-500 the same as (2) hydroco/apap 7.5-500 sol (says qualitest on bottle)? The first one made me drowsy but I went to a different pharmacy for the other and it didn't have the same effect on me why is that? ## The information you've posted denotes them as both being the same, especially if the manufacturer was the same for both. I'm not sure why one would make you drowsy and one wouldn't, perhaps in between your body just got a bit more used to the narcotic ingredient, Hydrocodone. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Side effects, such as the drowsiness, normally only last for a few weeks as your body is getting used to a medication, then they tend to taper off in severity, until they disappear entirely. Is there anything else I c... ...

What is the percentage of hydrocodone in Qualitest 7.5/325 since there is a variable for active ingredients in Generics.
I have been taking Hydrocodone 7.5/325 for couple of years now under the supervision of my pain management doctor for a 4 disc fusion of my neck. Certain manufacturer drugs work better than others. Yours seems to have less affect on my pain. I would like to know the percentage of hydrocodone in your Generic as I have heard the government allows for a variable on this. I also have tried Watson pill 3203, white oblong. Don't know the manufacturer on my first script but the pill was white oblong bigger than yours or Watson's. Thanks Look forward to your response. ## you should stay with watson ## Hello, Lisa Ann! How are you? hydrocodone 5 325 3604 & 5 325 3202 (Watson)
Am having knee replacements soon, had RNY so can't take any anti-inflammatories. Have been taking 1/2 of a 5-325 for pain made by Qualitest & have a V on one side & 3604 on other. Tablets are scored so can break easily. No problem with stomach. Latest Rx are same color but say Watson on one side and 3202 on other side and, though they are scored to break in half, are really hard to break..sometimes breaking into several pieces. Also, have had ulcer and stomach really burns, especially when I break the tablet into two parts. Could it be the fillers? ## Yes, there could be a filler that's causing more stomach acid. Have you talked to your doctor about possibly taking them with an antacid? As to breaking them, it would be much easier if you got a pill cutter, they are avail... ...

Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 Tab AMNE vs Tab QUAL
What is the difference between Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 Tab AMNE and Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 Tab QUAL ## The AMNE and the QUAL are both just abbreviations for the manufacturer of those particular tablets, so that's the only difference. AMNE stands for Amneal Pharmaceuticals and QUAL stands for Qualitest. This is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by several different companies, another one that I can think of off the top of my head that makes this same dose is Watson Pharmaceuticals. Is there anything else I can help with? You can learn more Vicodin details here. ## no - thank you. I thought they were the same but they looked different and one seemed to be stronger than the other in the affect of making me drowsy ## If they are the same then why do they look different & pe... ...
