Still no sleeping aid out there like Starnoc. I either can't get to sleep till 2 am or wake up at 2 am and can't get back to sleep. Starnoc was wonderful for both these issues. Also, I don't enjoy the feeling of the medication 'taking over' my sleep, i.e. instantly tired, whereas Starnoc gently lulled me to sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions from the Canadian Market that is similar? Thanks ## Have you tried Zopiclone? It's available in Canada and is usually the preferred alternative, since Starnoc has been discontinued. ## Thanks for the info. With Starnoc, however, if you still had a good 4 hours of sleep to go, you could still take it and no hangover! Is Zoplicone the same idea, do you know? ## you can still get Starnoc in Canada through compounding pharma...

brain star .8mg prescribed by doctor.medicine not available in leading shops.what are the side effects ? is it approved by FDA? ## Hi kurian, Side effects relating to the ingredients found in Brain Star are definitively regarded as "precautions" as opposed to "side effects". There are warnings for persons who are sensitive to bee products, as this contains beeswax. It also contains the allergenic ingredients of Soya beans (soya) and soya products. If you have any known allergies to what is mentioned above, then I would steer clear of this supplement. The majority of ingredients found in Brain Star are considered to be natural and plant-based (with no clear threat of side effects in my opinion) aside from 5HTP, which does have the potential for side effects if dosing is n...

I used to weigh 285 lbs. With the Belviq I lost an amazing 55 lbs. over a period of 9 months. I have since tapered off so my doctor took me off of it. If I'm off it for about 4-6 weeks will the weight loss pick up again as though I started it for the first time? My first month of taking it was May 1, 2014. Within that month I lost 20 lbs. My goal is to get down to at least 155 or lower. I'm a big boned girl so that size would be ok with me. If I lose more than that.....GREAT! I ended up gaining all of my weight from the medication Depakote. By the time I was done with the Depakote I weighed a whopping 324. I was so depressed and hated leaving my house. I thought I would always be alone and overweight. I've had surgery after surgery for various things and haven't really b...

My doc just prescribed Cymbalta to me yesterday. I took my first pill yesterday. I didnt read up on it till after my son told me "MOM< NO dont take that". I heard it has really bad side effects. So we got on the computer and read up on it. OMG, this is horrible. Why would doctors even prescribe this to patients??? I woke up this morning feeling kinda bad. Really shaky and feeling sick to my stomach. Is this already side effects from this? And someone PLEASE tell me should I keep taking it??? ## I have been suffering with pain from bulging disks for 3 years with some stenosis, and throbbing down my arms. Has anyone had problems with lamotrigine (generic Lamictal) manufactured by Northstar Rx ## My pharmacy changed my Teva brand of Lamotrigine to North Star brand. Has anyone noticed a difference with the difference switching brands? ## Yes. I take lamotrigine for bi-polar depression. I have found that the Northstar version of the drug doesn't work. I took it and my mood crashed. Then I got back on the Teva made lamotrigine, and my mood stabilized. I believe the Northstar product in effective. Try to get your prescribing physician to write "Teva - DAW" on your script. ## My original Hyzaar was refilled by mail with Losartan Hctz 100 by Northstar and I think I'm having serious side effects that I just now attribute to the bp med. I just got prescribed low-ogestrel a couple days ago in the mdidle of my period. The directions explain that you can start on the sunday after your period starts, but if you got your period on a sunday, you should start it that same day. I got my period on sunday, does that mean I have to wait another month to take my first pill, or can I take it this sunday (tomorrow)?? ## If you started your period on a Sunday, you should have taken it that same day to start the pack. However, that is just to provide you with immediate protection against pregnancy. You can start them, at any time, you will just need to use some other form of protection for the first 7 days, to allow them to become effective in your body. So no, there is no need to wait another month. You don't have to be experienc...

I had my period on Sunday 1/19/2014. I got my pills (tri-previfem) today. Can i start today? I am reading so many different things. ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you? You can start them at any time! Your cycle will adjust accordingly. However, if you start them any time past the 2 day of your period, you will need to take them for a full 7 days, without forgetting any, before you are protected from pregnancy, so for that first week, you'd need to use a backup method of contraception. However, if your doctor has provided you with other instructions, then please disregard what I've said and follow them. Is there anything else I can help with?

I started the pill 4 days after my period started. I started on a Monday. I been on it for 5 days. How long does it take to work due to the fact that I didn't take it on the first day of my period? What are my chances of getting pregnant? ## Hello, Dezi! How are you? It needs to be taken for a full 7 days, to reach its full level of effectiveness in the body, according to the FDA guidelines on oral contraceptives. So, you'd need to use some additional form of protection, until the 8th day of taking active pills, otherwise, you risk pregnancy. Typical side effects are listed as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, weight gain and PMS like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Day four of 1st Chantix use. Have to stop w/ chronic bronchitis and am using the support system online of exercises. Will use the coach line. Slight headache or from the coughing? Tired a bit or from not exercising enough which helps my energy level and need to knock off pounds. A walk this morning helped with a tape of an inspirational author I love. Then I got depressed for awhile missing my deceased parents and self loathing over my nicotine addicted life. I can't imagine using this medicine with other meeds, alcohol, or if I had mental illness so people have to do it with their doctor. It's like with all scripts--read and beware. I'm optimistic w/o nausea and I am a writer and find odd dreams fascinating anyway. I had breast cancer 4 years ago and it was caught early. Bu...
