Can anyone tell me how well Purdue 10 mg percocet works? I currently take Mallinkrodt in the 525s because my pharmacy can’t get any other brand in a higher dose. Was prescribed 725’s and my pharmacy stsrted giving me Amneal. I knew that something was not right because they not only made me sick (nauseous and headache), they were not effective. Mallinkrodt work good for me, but would like to take less pills as I have to get the 525’s and cut them in half. I may need to jump to the 10 mg, but my pharmacy can only get Purdue. I can’t find any info on how well they work. What is the most effective 725s and 10s??

You will find that Pardue has made a deal with the Fed's for over 700 million, over charges stemming from Oxycontin ## Do you have anymore information on this? Such as a link to an article with details? Perhaps an FDA settlement page? We have many users that would be interested in more information on this, since there have been so many problems with the new Oxycontin formulation from Purdue. ## The link ur looking for is on Wikipedia. On Wikipedia search for Purdue Pharma LP 2007 and chek this outlaw Pharmaceutical company out. I was shocked at how many fines they have paid. It's getting close to a billion dollars. Everything from selling on the black market to drug tampering. These folks own Rhodes Pharmaceuticals to whom are tampering with Percocet generic putting Opioid deter...

Purdue Pharma website has official statement on reformulation of Oxycontin. They claim there is no difference in effectiveness between old OC and new OP labeled pills. They quote The reformulation has met FDA criteria for bioequivalence to the original formulation, which means there is no significant difference in the rate and extent of absorption of the therapeutic ingredient. Then they go on to say, Purdue elected to reformulate OxyContin® to be bioequivalent to the original formulation and in an effort to make the tablet more difficult to manipulate for the purpose of intentional misuse and abuse, however, there is no evidence that the reformulation of OxyContin is less subject to misuse, abuse, diversion, overdose or addiction. I take 80mg 4/day. (or should say used to take) No...

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name: *roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow) *mylan- M924 *teva (allergen/activas own...

The Massachusetts attorney general is targeting Purdue Pharma and eight members of the Sackler family who own the company, alleging in a lawsuit they are "personally responsible" for deceptively selling OxyContin. The attorney general, Maura Healey, sat down with CBS This Morning. She alleges the Sackler family hired "hundreds of workers to carry out their wishes" – pushing doctors to get "more patients on opioids, at higher doses, for longer, than ever before" all while paying "themselves billions of dollars." In her lawsuit, Healey names eight members of the family that own Purdue Pharma, alleging they "micromanaged" a "deceptive sales campaign." In the conclusion to the complaint, Healey said the Sackler family used the power at t...

Purdue Pharma (80mg) op vs. oc...are oc coming back as generic and ops going to be name brand? ## or are we just stuck with these plastic pills and roxiecodone??? or are we getting back original formula oc 80"s?? ## No, at this time, Purdue Pharma has no intention of going back to the original formulation and is only manufacturing the new product with the OP marking, that has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse. Are you having problems with the new product? ## I have not had the relief from the OP as I did with the OC. I called Purdue and complained. If you are still in pain, then call Purdue, Please!! asap and explain to them the problems. They don't need to know your personal info, just that the OPs do not work as well or what ever problems you are having. If every...

"Purdue Pharma recently announced it is conducting clinical trials on OxyContin in children. Immediately some have criticized, suggesting that the exposure to opioids at an early age will inevitably lead to addiction later in life. The larger issue that was missed is that there are times opioids are necessary for children. Children in intensive care units, emergency rooms, post operatively or in rehab often require strong analgesics. These are children with cancer, with severe burns, with sickle cell anemia or other conditions. It would be cruel and inhumane to leave children untreated who experience extraordinary amounts of pain. Of course opioids should not be the first line of therapy if an alternative is available, but they may be the only way to provide relief. So the question ...

Does Purdue Pharma still manufacture MS Contin? If not, has the patent been sold to another producer? ## The name brand MS Contin is still owned and manufactured by Purdue Pharma, according to FDA listings, but there are generics, and other formulations available. They also warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. Do you have any other questions?

They are horrible. Purdue pharma put too much filler and other stuff in them. They can pass right through your body in your stool, which happened to me. They can make you sick. They take way too long to work. I get about 6 hours and that's just calming my pain down. The docs will tell you they're 12 hour pain relief which is BULL, and the 80mg say 12 hours - Now how can that be? I've been through 6 failed lower back operations, damaged nerves, scar tissue on nerves, 5 deteriorated discs in my upper back, 3 severe multiple bone spurs sticking in my nerves and 2 bulging discs in my neck, and need both knees replaced. And my doc only wants me to take 2 a day. I only get 3 hours of sleep. I'm up at 1am or 2:30am and then take another dose at 9 or 10 am. I CANNOT go through t...

80 mg op received this month. What the heck is purdue doing to me my stomach hurts, my pain is almost all they way back. I'm in agony. Why don't they take whiskey off the shelves and make them put plastic in it. It takes 3 hours for it to work if it does? I've had a headache also. They lost my almost $1500 a month and need something for pain. Anyone have any ideas??? ## My husband and I both have had to take oxycontin for years, for me its the only way i can function or get out of bed. I have a bone disease and they stiff up completely so without my pain meds i cant walk, let alone take care of my daughter. My husband is a veteran and swears by it too. I am wondering if there is a manufacturer of oxycontin other then purdue? I am taking oxycontin 80 mlgm, and purdue has changed the medication, and it does not work for me with what they have done to it. ## Actavis is a manufacturer of generic Oxycontin, my insurance will only pay for generic. They have not reformulated. ## I am not sure what is going on with the generic Oxycontin, Sometimes they are available and others not. If you are in reference to the inability to misuse the new OP/80 there are always a way and Purdue Pharma knows this and so does the FDA. My suggestion is take them in the proper manner. ## a few years back a company did make generic oxycontin and they were just as good as perdue's. they were pink instead of green. anyway perdue sued them for making them just a...

Cant aford my prescription so need help ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Purdue Pharma does have an assistance program for those that can't afford their medications. Your doctor needs to request an application for you by calling them at 800-599-6070. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

"FDA urged to block generic non-tamper-proof pills": oxywatchdog.com/tag/purdue-pharma/ Go there.. Generics of old formula as early as January 2013 ## I have to wonder if the FDA even realizes that their medications are killing people off left and right at the patients own expense. Doing away with tamper-proof properties can be a good thing, but this isn't going to help anyone cure anything. What ever happened to the natural remedies that have been around for over 3000 years? I guess they still can't figure out how to tax people & make money off of mother nature, so here we go again with a new batch of pain killers to help numb the feelings and switch to another addiction. Does anyone else think this is wrong?

Is there any way to get the manufactor of roxycodone to fill my prescripton...jst curious I no purdue does it with the oxycontin..plz hlp...vey hard to find in jax fl,or very exspensiv..thnx ## They don't fill prescriptions, per se, what they have is an assistance program for people that don't have prescription coverage that need the medication they manufacture. In such cases, the person can apply for their program and, if approved, their doctor faxes a signed prescription each month, then their medication is shipped for them. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Thus, even such a program for Roxicodone is only of benefit, if you don't have any prescription coverage. They don't fill prescriptions for everyone, just because you are having trouble finding it at your local ph...

These pills are poisonous beware. I've taken oxycodone 20 mg from manufacturer Rhodes, Purdue company for 4 year's. Last month I got KVK-TECH from Sam's Club. The do NOT KILL PAIN AT ALL..... they give you a real euphoric feeling for 10 minutes but absolutely no pain relief. July 2016 was the worst month of my life for my chronic pain. They also brought my Peripheral autonomic nuropathy out of remission after 4 year's of the symptoms being gone. They made my vision get horrible, the have caused me brain issues bad. I was fine before I took them for a month and I notified the FDA ect. And I'm fighting KVK-TECH....... DO NOT ACCEPT THESE FROM ANY PHARMACY. ALL THE MAJOR PHARMACY search ordered 1,000's of these knowing they don't work and are causing people like...
