I have been put on estradiol 2mg and progesterone 200mg 2x daily vaginally to trigger period. Once my period comes I will begin my 1st cycle of clomid. How long does it take for my period to start with the estrogen/progesterone combo? ## Hello, Kiki222! How are you? How long will you be taking it? Hi, my wife is 6 weeks pregnant. The doctor prescribed her Progesterone 200. Dr. told her it can be administered orally or vaginally. Which one works best? If it's taken orally, the liver tends to process out most of it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. I am 60 yrs old and have been menopausal 2 yrs. A hysterosonography Aug. 7, 2013 revealed I have hyperplasia (thickened uterus wall). I had 2 days very light spotting in June and I am scheduled for a DNC in mid November. My Dr. prescribed Progesterone to take orally 1 per day. I asked her if I could use Prometrium - the botanical based "natural" alternative to synthetic hormones. She said yes. I just picked up my prescription and it was for Progesterone 200 mg. So I just had a baby two months ago and have been patiently waiting for my period to start and it has yet to come, I'm a mother of two and dnt want any more kids so I'm planning on getting my tubes tied but can't until my cycle starts.
